Blog Entries: 1 | my bro got a good idea that he would make some sort of hole in the base to make his ork boys look like they're ambushing from tunnels which would make more orks for him. Is it illegal?

| I think if it is done well and looks good you shouldn't have any problem. Also if it looks good don't tell anyone the reason and you won't have to worry. But if it looks bad please don't do it, just for the sake of being anti-tacky.

| The Witchhunter ![]() | i have to say that the title of this made me chuckle. there is nothing wrong with your brothers suggestion, many a good conversion has been done by this method. but bear this in mind if he decides to make use of the legs to add even more: for judging whether a model can be seen to be shot at, it is whether the opponent can see the model's torso, and as such, if a model consists of just the chopped off legs (i.e. to make more your brother decided to make it look like the Orks were diving back), technically you wouldn't be able to see those models |

| Ive run into no problems yet. I have a few flayed ones cut in half (emerging and retreating) guy says everyone loves em and he plays them as seperate models (1 whole = 2 minis) I wouldnt recommend going overboard tho. |

Blog Entries: 1 | brought a smile to my face too![]() he'd have to model the bases up a bit with some sort of putty/clay rather than just stick the 1/2 ork down and leave it at that. |

*imagines floating SM bodies without legs hovering above bases... is scared* BOT: Go for it! Sounds like, if you do it well, it'll all go good.

Blog Entries: 1 | Moved to the rules forum, as it is a rules question, after all. (Shame on you, Hairy, not doing your duty. You shall be punished with only non-alcoholic beverages for the rest of the week) But yeah, I agree with the guys above.

| This is kenshin620's brother. I thank you all for your feedback. I have thought about it, I was thinking of having the orks come out of those flip-back ambush trenches, but then there came the problem that I can't get their bodies flat enough to glue to the bases. So now my new idea is to have them come out of crates (I saw the deviantart one where they're in barrels). This is just to get some extra troops out of my stormboy spare parts (since the spare parts ARE ork boys.) Anyway, I just now need to figure out how I'm going to make the crates. MY first idea was cardboard since...that's pretty much the only constructive material around our house. |

| get a few Mega blocks "generic big legos" turn em upside down, knock the circle from the middle, use a soldiering iron / Greenstuf & Plasticard (plastic for sale / beware of dog) *cheaper* to texture the outside. |

| You can get plasticard (sheets of plastic *some are textured*) at your local hobby store 5-10 bucks. Or..... you can hit up any hardware or supercenter and get some plastic "for sale / beware of god" signs, they make for pretty good *cheap* plasticard. |

| dont see why not, the downside is its only one thickness. But you can always layer. *maybe top layer cut slightly smaller to give a stepped effect.* |

| Each Shot Kills Spam (She never misses) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | It is a niffty thought, and it has been done before. Infact it can be seen in a white dwarf. There is nothing against the rules that says that if they dont have legs they can move, or move as if in difficult terrain. I say go for it, thought it may not be WYSIWYG it still adds flavor and characteristics to your army. The only reason why you can have it is if your opponent starts to complain to you about it. And if hes complaining about that little detail then hes probably not the best person to be playing against. |
