Default Imperial Armor misprint?

I was looking through my IA apoc book and when I came towards the Gorgon Transport, I noticed something strange. It says it is equiped with 2 twin linked heavy stubbers and a gorgon motar and no other weapons but on the picture it has heavy flamer sides and gives the stats of the heavy flamer and the heavy bolter but makes no mention of them being equip or being a replacement. What is up with is?

In my book it says that it is armed with two twin linked heavy stubbers. These are the ones towards the back. In the options it says that you can upgrade the gorgon to mount sponsons and these can be four heavy bolters, or four heavy flamers, or four heavy stubbers, or with gorgon mortars.

Oh I just checked my IA 5 book and you are correct. But its printed in two books. Imperial Armour 5 and Imperial Armour Apocalyspe. I was origionally looking at the latter. So I follow IA 5 then?

Oohh. I hate Apocalypse. The rules are poorly written and the intent just doesn't appeal to me. I always follow Forgeworld rules because I like to actually play with rules...unlike Apocalypse.

wow, I just compared some other units between the IA books ans the Apoc books (including IAA) and some units are quite different from each other! From the cost of a chaos warhound, to the transport capacity of a tau manta. I guess I'll stick to IA books except for the apoc book only units like the mega bolter tank (wait is it ap 4 or ap 3?)

All of your IA:Apoc questions can be answered with the IA:Apoc FAQ available from FW's downloads section (may as well get the other IA Q&As while you're there, though. No IA book survives contact with GW unharmed, it seems). . Seriously. All of the IA books have issues (and Apoc:reloaded is no exception) - except the two softcovers.

They left out the options for the Gorgon (proofreader probably went out for arthouse tea - you know, white, weak and insipid). They're in the FAQ.

The Tau remora has Structure points, but is NOT a superheavy flier (another fail).

The A-X-1-0 tigershark has Str 10 Destroyer guns. WTF? Should be 'D' weapons.

Zarakynel (FW GDoS) has the wrong profile.

Many others have had their rules changed slightly for apoc to streamline them (and make them kill more impressively or die more explosively). Manta and Orca were modified to minimise abuse (can't remove the chance entirely because people will always be d*cks - even if there are laws against it.).

If you don't like apoc, don't play it. The FW rules are for "regular" games of 40k. There are no 'D' weapons, 10" blasts are harder to come by and as for the cloverleaf of dooom! - forget it.
