   |  Ripper swarms... When reading Codex Tyranids, I am confused about the points cost of rippers. It says that a rRpper swarm consists of 3 - 10 "Ripper bases", but the actual stats table only give the point value for the "Ripper swarm", not per base. So, does that mean that 3 ripper bases are the same cost as 10???

| each ripper base costs Xpts... (so 3 bases would be Xpts x 3 = XXpts) basically, the term 'swarm' refers to the USR's as ripper swarms obivously have the "swarms" special rules! cheers!

| hmm a small group of snake sized creatures that look like they could pop out of your chest are considered more dangerous and expensive then a guardsmen with a flashlight and tshirt? |

| Well they do have 3 wounds and 3 attacks apiece. Loads of little mouths biting each and ever other part of you tends to hurt.  They're fearless too.

| Im probobly wrong now, but I once calculated this out... just for fun try it yourself if you have the nids codex Lets play the game: HOW MANY RIPPERS CAN I HAVE IN AN ARMY LIST?  I believe the number should (technically) come to around 180 rippers  If there was a cheap ripper sprue someone should attempt that... I might be wrong though, you might be able to get more I know I would!!! |
