 |  Terminator Apoth with an Assault Cannon? I'm working on creating my Deathwing Command Squad and while I was looking at the Codex this question popped into my head: "Can a terminator who takes a heavy weapon also be given the apothecary upgrade?" Can I get some clarification on whether or not this is allowed? |

Blog Entries: 4  | I don't think specialists can be armed with weapon upgrades but i could be wrong. gotta check on this one (no codex on hand) i'll get back to ya if no one else has definite answers

| except in the deathwing.... the DW command squad rules in Belial's options states that 1 termie can be upgraded to a standard bearer and another to a apothecary. Nothing about them not being allowed to use a heavy/special weapon.

| Ah, thank you baronspikey, this is what I was trying to get at. I figured if I could put both upgrades on the same termie, instead of putting them on 2 different termies, it wouldn't come down to be having to pick one or the other if the squad they were in took a wound. In this case, putting all your eggs in one basket seems like a good idea. |

| typically, you can't/shouldn't do so... specialists are still pretty much characters in their own right and thus can't take squad up-grades. still, there isn't anything to outright say you can't do so, but it is a somewhat dubious tactic giving a character an assault cannon! cheers!
