Default thunderhammer vs superheavy

ok seriously. a guys termie taps my bainblade with a thunderhammer. doesn no damage. but, because of the thunderhammers special rule, he says my whole bainblade was shaken. i was like, wtf? got around the hing because i had that bainblade formation, but still. does a thunderhammer actually shake an entire superheavy?

Sure it does. Powerful energy fields + the intense harmonic waves created in the vehicle when struck by hammer and field = a lot of ringing in the drivers ears and such.

Not to mention the flare / energy discharge would definitely nuke the sensors for a while.

when something doesnt make sense in 40k, try looking at it from a different angle. in this case, a crewmen of said tank.
but first, the thunder hammer-
1-it creates a huge noise and flash when it hits something. its designed to do that.
2-its being weilded by a mammoth of a man, made even more mammoth by the termy armour.
3-have you ever hit a sheet of metal with a rock? now hit it with a hammer the size of you

now all of this together, and then the crewmens heads arent that far away from the hit, and youre going to be dazed for a little while. and that little while is enough lull in shooting so that the thing cant fire.

i had that same sort of "wait a minute, what?" thing when i realized you could kill a land raider with a harliquins kiss. at first glance, it just doesnt make sense.

Aye. At first glance.
Everything (almost) CAN be MADE to make sense
So don't worry about it.

If everything was left up to conventional sense, lasguns wouldn't scratch astartes armour, Drop pods would become orbital strike with carrying capacity, and a sister with faith would become yet another smeared crater in the face of a gargantuan squiggoth.
And where's the fun in that?

But the thunderhammer causes "crew stunned" i dont think theres any specifications on what it does to superheavys, but, even though that result is not on the superheavy hit table, it was still argued that the result applies to the vehicle.

Without an impartial referee with an Apoc rulebook, this will be difficult enough to sort out, but gun crew shaken sounds about right. Opponents almost always choose the baneblade cannon anyway.

Hell, a guy in power armour tapped my baneblade with a powerfist and destroyed it.

If you have FW materals, check it out. "crew stunned" on a super heavy results in one weapon chosen by the enemy can't shoot on the next turn.Just like "immobilized" means the super heavy losses D3 movement.Do you realiy think that loud bang on the side of the tank is going to effect the crew members on the other side,While a loud engine is running and the crew is wearing head sets?
