This site has a quite a few titles already and I'm not really trying to start a new one, especially since I'm still pretty new...though I guess it would be cool. I want to put together a good group of people who know what they are talking about to prosecute and defend rules interpretations. When I say "know what they are talking about" I don't mean right and wrong, I mean display an ablility to present a cogent arguement.
1. I think that one issue can be brought up on the order of between one week and one month and should be brought up as a statement. It is easiest to declare Prosecutor or Defender if it is a statement. So please even if you don't believe the statement phrase it that way.
2. Each topic should have it's own thread so as to avoid confusion and 15 page threads.
3. When you first post a reply to an issue declare that you are a Prosecutor or a Defender and make your best attempt to prove your point. No fence-sitters, your job is to be Judges after the cases have been presented at that point please vote.
4. This is going to be competitive but do not make personal attacks, disassemble an arguement but do not attack the person (this includes calling the person a cheater...I have been culprit before.) There are no cheaters in this arguement just people who believe something else and so I want you to convince them nicely of your opinion instead.

Please help me create rules for this system as well as to raise new issues.

If Rules Lawyers are defence attorneys looking to work the system then I'm the prosecutor.

I dont really think there is a need for this. We can create valid arguments in threads anyway, without these rules. If somebody has a question about rules, they post that question, and the question gets discussed.

Fine...shoot down my hopes and dreams. The format I'm hoping for is just to get people using proper arguements about disputed rules not really rules questions.

Hm, this is actually very interesting, I don't understand how the sytem exactly helps, but maybe we can on terms of this.

Otherwise, the way your going, I can lend an ear and check it out though I'm not too much of a thinker at the moment, so i'll get you back on that.

hmmmm... well if you're looking for a rules-monger then i'd be willing to help lend out.

i also have some techpriest contacts which can sometimes come in handy! granted they're word isn't "offical to the point of absolute law" but considering these are the guys who play test the rules themselves, they're as close as you'll get to studio rulings!

the only rules i don't have are the forgeworld books because they're a wee bit pricey at 110$ a pop!

this idea is kinda....eh...i like it, but i think it would work better on a different forum. this type of thing would prevent arguements from degenerating into catfights, but stuff like that doesnt happen on this forum anyway. its a good format, so lets do it anyway =D
