The Omegas Crusade: The Crusade of Faith and of the Last

The Omegas crusade is the 10th crusade of the Black Templars chapter. The Marshal of the crusade, Viccer Renstralt, is over 700 years old fighting in the name of the Emperor from world to world. Giving aid to the Ichar worlds and then aiding in the Armageddon wars, his men have seen their share of blood and dirt to be veterans of many chapters and some even commanders in their own right. Viccer leads with unswerving vigilance and almost over powering faith, making him an example to all who meet him. After the Armageddon wars and witnessing faithless killings and ungodly actions made by many other forces, Renstralt made a charge upon his crusade to fight in pure destructive faith. He upped the number of Chaplains and grew even more vicious in combat. He carries all weapons blessed by the Chaplains, and distrusts all psykers even of the Inquisition.

One hero is always at the side of the mighty Marshal, and that is Master of Sanctity Dam Kerge. The oldest and most blood thirsty of the Chaplains in the crusade, with his commander this 576 year old giant stands against daemons, beasts, and abominations, for he is the most trusted friend of the Marshal.

The brothers Forn, Hydrik and Palnig, blood brothers from birth now fight as brothers in terminator armor. Both from the same terminator squad, which was then decimated in the defense of a chapel on Givas III against a genestealer cult, them being the survivors fight without their own squad as Castellons. Showing faith beyond that of a normal initiate they only fight in the grips of the foe with blade and hammer, roaring curses at the enemy.

The ancients from the beginning of the crusade are all that are left of the original force. All entombed in the massive hulks of Dreadnaught armor, Ancients- Likus, Fultran, Gurrin, and Agrevis, all men of legend through the chapter, all men of marshal prowess and power, all men of the last. Emperor’s Champions Cronus , Atrophones and Halim, lead from the front with the initiates, plunging their swords in the same flesh the brothers rip through, yelling aloud the vows of death they take, mounting more zeal and faith to the men as they are symbols of the crusade.

Titled The Crusade of the Last, signifies the crusades fight is near an end. Even though the wars will never stop the crusade has taken more damage over years of fighting than any force should ever endure, almost dropping in to inusablity. Losing almost half their number and only having a handful of neophytes, they are running themselves into extinction which they all welcome for they know it will be a glorious end for them all. They wish not to be reinforced by the chapter, feeling new initiates will ruin the their squads reliability and unswerving faith. With righteous fury Marshal Renstralt and his mighty Templars render the foes of humanity helpless to the slaughter and destruction they sow.

“Wars come and go but my soldiers are eternal” Marshal Renstralt to his force as the plunged into the orks at Volcannus hive.

Cool stuff. I like the three brothers bit, and how the Crusade is wearing itself down. It shows realism, but also that they aren't giving up! It's like a knife against a grindstone...

Maybe try and start as I did.. You have the heavy hitters down in the basic fluff. Now try and pick out each one, and do a small piece that highlights them. For instance, you could do the terminators during and after the battle where the rest of their squad died, or talking about it after?

Yup. That's how I fleshed out my fluff. Went with a general highlight then did separate short pieces on each.

while writing more fluff i found a poem i wrote which ill try and work into the fluff


with solemn hearts
we battle chaos.
with righteous munitions
we bring holy retribution.
with blood stained hands
we praise the almighty.
with shell and blade
we make our salvation.

i also found something that sounds like a soul falling in to chaos

war

if anyone is disturbed by peace

i know only war,
peace has no place in the age of battle,
light has no purpose in these dark times,

where salvation is only gained through violence,
we shall show our righteous zeal.
for the good of a nation of heartless maggots

but the unknown horrors of war.

*nods* Preeeettty much. It's part of the ongoing process of trying to learn how to make armor, etc.. I missed most of the 'class' on armor making, so i'm kinda cooling my heels elsewhere until it comes about again. I will be sure to send you a pic.
