Blog Entries: 1  |  THE SHADOW PALADINS beware, some members might take offense to the following, i mean no harm to them and i am only setting a skeleton for future stories. note that i am collecting a chapter but i am focusing on two companies first. --------------------------- Second company fluff Captain = Isaac Marcus Chaplin = Spikey baron Librarian = Wakim ice-eye The second company of the shadow paladins distinguished itself on the battlefields of koris, an ice world on the western edge of the imperium. In particular was brother sergeant hairy, who stood victorious over the broken corpse of the eldar priestess MARTessa. Unfortunately during the battle hairy’s master crafted “heretic hammer.” Broke in twain, and until brother techmarine erus returns it fully reformed, the brother sergeant has to use a power sword bequeathed to him by the company commander, Isaac Marcus. ------------------------------------ 8th company fluff Captain = Ikarus the silent knife Chaplin = Derse’s kalaram (dragoon king) Librarian = formerly brother mart gunslinger, now deceased (died fighting rebels, see below) The 8th company of the shadow paladins has only ever entered battle in its entirety once, and this was during the eserivin crusade to retake the rebel system of merenguard. The captain of this mysterious company is commander Ikarus (the silent knife) He wields his power sword with the skill and zeal of any astartes, and some say is only injury has been his right hand. During the fighting for the capital of merenguard prime, Ikarus lost his hand to a rebel plasma shot. Undaunted, he continued on, librarian Mart by his side. When Mart saw with his precognitive powers that a rebel sniper bearing a turbo penetrator round was targeting Ikarus, the librarian zealously launched himself in front of his commander, using his psychic powers to put up a shield. Unfortunately for Mart, the shield only slowed the bullet, and it pierced through his armor and then his brain, falling harmlessly at the commander’s feet. The librarian’s corpse toppled forward, and Ikarus continued on to slay the sniper, shouting curses throughout the whole battle. After the greave fighting, commander Ikarus commissioned the chapters’ techmarine to implant a combat knife into his flesh, and to cover the rest with adamantium. The commander still leads from the front, and now it is rumored that the 8th company’s banner is being lifted once more to war, its blessed fabric embroidered with a rendition of the late librarian Mart’s power sword, slick with blood, rising from a base of rebel skulls.
