Blog Entries: 1  |  Something I just found. Icarus Calvinus studied the enemy lines from his vantage point. His hawk-like, ice-blue eyes flitted from one end of the chasm, a deep, artificial valley, to the other. He was standing in an abandoned sniper's nest, once used by the smoking corpse that was folded over an outcrop a few metres below Icarus' position. The cultist had been peering over the cliff face when Icarus' companion, a Librarian, had stumbled upon him during an assault on an enemy bunker, amongst the dead forests that covered the icy winter scape of Ithis IV's southern continent. Icarus turned from the smoking battlefield in time to catch a movement in the trees behind him. "Chapter Master?" A man shook a camo cloak from himself as he spun round from behind a tree. Chapter Master Icarus had grown accustomed to the stealthy ways of the Tyrellian's light infantry during the war on Ithis. The 237th Light Infantry Brigade was present in support of the Tyrellian 8th and 402nd Regiments. "Yes," Icarus replied blandly. He stepped away from the cliff edge and towards the tree line "Colonel Vilius wished to know why you were maintaining radio silence," the scout stated. Icarus did not answer. "The 8th took the artillery positions that had pinned down the Cadians sir...the Colonel thought you'd like to know..." he continued, uneasily. Expressionless with his beaked helmet, Icarus nodded, and the scout slipped back into the forest, without a sound. Icarus was glad that the scout could not see his face. He turned back to the cliff and blinked a solitary tear from his eye.
