| Ok.. Well, here are the bits and pieces for Adonis so far. I will still need a head, and plan on sculpting a hood out of green stuff. This conversion mainly needs to dark and brooding.. So any suggestions are welcome, as he will set the theme for the chapter (I actually may robe every single marine if I find a suitable torso bit.). Bits: Body: - BlacK Templar robe torso picture here, bottom left. (http://www.battlewagon-bits.com/product/3692). This is so far the best robe I have found, in the plainest style. I had thought of the robed idea for one reason only. To make these guys to look sinister, brooding, and dark. The robe-hood image is great for that, as I want to stay away from Chaos bits if possible. Another, albeit more ornate than I like option is: http://www.battlewagon-bits.com/product/3761 (which I may just use the back on anyway) or even: http://www.battlewagon-bits.com/product/3681. - http://www.battlewagon-bits.com/product/38193: A more archaic and battleworn feel. Straight up power armor. -Any other (preferably plastic) torso bits with a good robe or archaic image are welcome. Head: - Company champions: http://www.battlewagon-bits.com/product/3660 - MK4 Black Templars head: http://www.battlewagon-bits.com/product/4373 - This one gives a nice sinister feel: http://www.battlewagon-bits.com/product/3779, - This will probbaly give away one of the two chapters my geneseed is drawn from: http://www.battlewagon-bits.com/product/4373. - Legs: - I do dearly like the image of the running legs for a commander. It isn't something you see all the time, and it would give him a very unique pose and feel http://www.battlewagon-bits.com/product/3742 Shoulderpads: - These multi-plate Company Champion ones: http://www.battlewagon-bits.com/product/3662 - A set of studded pads (to go with a more archaic feel): http://www.battlewagon-bits.com/product/3820 Weaponry: - A combat shield is: http://www.battlewagon-bits.com/product/3750. Not sure of any others really.... - Haven't yet really found a non-terminator arm thunder hammer... Any suggestions? The plainer and more simplistic, the better! - Bolt pistols are in the same boat as thunder hammer. I don't want to put just a random one on the mini, but not sure of which.. - If I used the plain armor, as I am liking, this would do nicely: http://www.battlewagon-bits.com/product/3539 (I've NEVER gotten these things on right!) - Fluffy Bits: - I plan on taking an Inquisitor type icon (the big 'I' if possible) and using jewelers chain to model the chain being snapped and stomped under foot. If I knew of an open, grasping hand I would make it look as if he had just ripped it off, but I don't. - Possibly this: http://www.battlewagon-bits.com/product/3608. Though that is ornate and stretches it a bit for the simplistic looks I was thinking of. - This would possibly represent his Term. Honors nicely: http://www.battlewagon-bits.com/product/3545. Jump PacK: - Probbaly just the regular one, though I have considered using an old 'turbofan' bit I have laying about, just for giggles. About all the specific bit possibilities I have seen. I have also considered, though I am bingo on bits for it, trying to scale this guy to one type of MK armor. Preferably 4 or 5, although 3 would look nice. I look to stitch and all you other nutters to try and help me there. *sighs* One army nearly done and I get addicted to another, with more conversions than the last.. DOES IT EVER END?!?!?!?!?! |

| the age of insects ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | lol i don't think it ever ends. while working on my SM [first] army, i've been drawn to chaos, IG, lysanderwing, and even eldar. crazy stuff. haha. anyways. i like the idea of dark and brooding, and a lot of these bits will do the trick. for the torso at least, i think the BT ones would work the best. the SM commander one [in my opinion] doesn't get that same mysterious feeling. running legs would look interesting. if you could model it, perhaps a leg reposition so that he's not running, but more like...hmm can't explain it. the BT sword brethren with the twin claws' legs, has the leg position sort of like what i'm talking about. well i think that might be cool.. just some thoughts :] i think you put the wrong URl for the BT head, just a side note. i have to sleep, but tell us what you come up with :] -ant
