| The Omnissiah ![]() ![]() ![]() | You can use a crafting knife to cut thin sheets of polystyrene, or use a polystyrene cutter. This is basically a device that heats a wire an melts through the polystyrene.

| The Dark Apostle ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | the heated wire is the best method. kind of expensive though. if you are careful, you can cut small sections smoothly with a razorblade. i dont recommend this though, ive slipped and cut my thumb deeply with that. needed stiches ![]()

| The Emperor's Yesman ![]() ![]() ![]() | There's a guy in Glasgow Uni who cuts polystyrene with a slightly heated scalpal, though I doubt if you'd be able to use that method. The heat wire method is probably the best, but takes some practise to master.

| The Great Wolf ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Actually ...for those of us in the states...if there is a WAMALRT near you...they have the tool in the craft department for under $10 bucks...takes two D cell batteries and is the same damn thing GW wants to cut yer wallet from you for...I have one and use it all the time...over seas...any good craft store should have them...all it is is a cardboard tube to hold the batteries and a metal cap on each end with an arm to hold the wire...basic grounding principle...another thing you can use...is a hotknife...I made one out of an old soldering iron and a flat thin peice of metal...works pretty well too...especially for cutting gouges and such into the terrain ...another thing you can try is a heat gun...and if all else fails ...use a Hacksaw blade with fine teeth or a coping saw...you can get them at any hardware store...
