Misc. Terrain Bits/Battlefield Accessories - 40K Terra

Hey has anyone found a good place to get things like ammo boxes/barrels/crates etc that would be sutible for 40k?

I haven't looked extensively but so far I havent found much in the way of 40k-esque stuff.

Any help would be greatly appriciated and I think overall helpful for those of us into terrain building.

What about WWII models?I have seen many things in that line that look good.And prob a hell of alot cheaper than FW or GW.

IG tank sets always come with lots of extra stuff, much of which you described.

Warchild: Ya I was thinking/and have used some WW2 stuff but I was looking for something more sci-fi that might fit better with the "advanced technology"

Logan: I mean that you can get alot of, I've used up about 6 sprues woth of extra tank bits.

I see whatyou mean butyou could conv alittle with rivets and icons.I think some of the stuff would go good.Ammo grates are ammo grates just add the imp symble?But i will keep a eye out for ya.

The first thing that comes to mind is buying the battlefield accessories sprues from Ikarus. That is, if he has some.

Thanks s ofar guys for the ideas and I'll be looking more into this later on as I get more heavily involved with my terrain projects and I'll post up whatever I find here.

Only problem with that is I need ALOT and GW can be expensive... but we all know that.

Well for anyone interested I found a decent selection of various ammo/supplies at spruebrothersmodels.com.They're WWII but they seem to be good enough. I ordered a pack of Tank Stowage and Ammo boxes so once they show up I'll tell you how good they are. Pretty cheap too.

I find WW2 accesories in 1:32 sacale are wonderful for 40K Im sure you'll be happy!

Just got the stuff mentioned previously and they are going work really well. 1/48 is prefect for these things and it gave me a couple backpacks I might put on a Steel Legionare, or other guardsman. See if you can spot the new stuff when i get my tanks done.

Great!!! Im glad you liked them, but I find some of the 1/48 scale stuff to be a bit out of scale. Just a friendly warning to watch out for it some!!!

I ordered a ton of 1/48 things from ebay after I got one pack i liked but when they came in only about 1/2 was useful. the rest is just base material!!!

i know it's expensive but GW's new site has a terrain set that comes with barrels and barricades, or you could always just go to the war store and by bits for 15% off.
