  |  Munkey and Radeon's Bunker complex!! Well Hi again everyone!! Ths is a WIP bunker complex that Radeon and I are building. these are the original plans sent to me from Radeon. This bunker complex has a HUGE foot print of 24" X 12" X 10" and still has to be set on the pink foam base!!! this will raise it roughly another inch or 2.  Now after these we made the Cardboard mock up MKI and tweaked it into what will be the Learning curve, trial and error stage. pics of MKI cardboard bunkers here:     Now dealing with ballistics,physics and other things we learn that a flat surface absorbs 100% of kinetic energies from a projectile. Also we like to see a fortified area to help support upright structures. So this brings us to Bunkers MKII. This is the stage that I made sketchups and true planning for the project. We angled the walls by giving them a 1" greater area than the top. we changed the rear of the bunker for access to both sides via a catwalk and other little tweaks. Now these are rough sketches made for planning so the door on the back is not there and all buildings will have a edge as in the middle building. Ordering of the materials will be this next week and construction will be very soo after that. let me know your inputs and comments for this project. and DONT make fun of my winged skull!!! | Re: Munkey and Radeon's Bunker complex!! well in MKII I did angle the bases out more, but they need more? the bottom has a 1" displacement from the top. I could try a 1.5 maybe. or even a 2. I'll do a single building and see if it looks better and then bounce it off my counterpart (his opinion is the ruling authority!!!). Thanks for the input D_C!!!

After some deliberation, we thought it would be cool to have a cat-walk from tier 1 to tier 2. This poorly done paint sketch explains its a bit. Also, we decided to make a garage in the back, large enough to fit my LRC (that's the green part).  |

| Re: Munkey and Radeon's Bunker complex!! Mmmm terrain pics. Yummy! I think it looks really good so far. In my opinion, if the walls should be slanted just a little more. Also, a handrail might be a nice touch on the catwalk.

And thanks to everyone suggesting to add the extra slant I did a one off building with the extra slant and really like the 2" slant more but I'll let you comment on it and Radeon to give the thumbs up or down! here are the mockups.... standard as it is right now 1" displacement  a 1.5" displacement  and the 2" displacement (I do like this!!)

After shooting the Osha inspector with my plasma pistol I thought that maybe a halfwall there would be good or a full wall kinda like around bunkers,to offer some protection in case of a firefight where as a rail would only be in the way.Just me thinking so stand back!!

| Re: Munkey and Radeon's Bunker complex!! Gatorfoam Here is some general info on it....I can get a sheet for about $5-6 and it is lots tougher than foamcore. Harder to work with though. Reserve it for the Special projects or a high end type job.
