| well i was giving my guard army some much needed repair work due to a mishap with the cat while going through my bit box searching for grenades, head, lasguns and such i ran across a couple of khemri skeleton warriors i had in there from a TK army i started to build before i realized i have no motivation to get into WFB so after finishing my repair work i decided to make a few undead guardsman and i thought they looked pretty cool I was wondering if anybody though it would look good in a whole army ? and what would be the fluff behind the Undead Regiment?

| Soldaten ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | That is a really good idea. Though I would think that using the Lost and the Damned rules would be much better, fluff wise and all. You are really open up doors for creating story, and background. I dont think it would work too well with regular guard codex

Blog Entries: 1 | ... you STOLE my idea! :O I've already begun work on a Undead Regiment (Alongside my Space Marine army, whose fluff i still haven't yet posted up) Believe me, GW don't like it (Because they don't like much) but everyone else in game shops (Which i hardly visit at all anymore!) seems to love the idea. Give it a try, and we'll get some fluff done together, eh? =] |

Blog Entries: 1 | as steellegioncpt already said the idea lends itself well to the lost and damned list. two possibilities off the top of my head are a nurgle cult, justified by saying that their flesh has all rotted off, or a tzeentch cult cos, well, the rubric worked once right? i have a copy of the codex in pdf format if your interested and i can figure out how to e-mail it.

Blog Entries: 1 | No LaTD would work but you know what COdex Imperial guard Is great for this stuff too with doctrines and GW even encourages use of doctrines for this kinda stuff (mostly so they don't need to make codexs for this stuff) maybe carapace armor, Die hards, chem-inhalers,...and what ever else you can think of I just choose those because they are dead so they have little fear and well bones are tougher then flesh and you do have to really shatter undead to stop them Latd would work if you want to give up the guard flexibility

| The Dark Apostle ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Die hards...heh....puns are punny. (ok ill stop )something really challenging about this would be that you have to dig out the head from the guardsmens helmet, then put in the skeleton head. an idea-zombies=conscripts w/ warrior weapons.

| i think a good fluff story would have to be centered around a great curse. back during the horus heresy a might battleship fleet was lost to the warp. With in the confines of the mighty vessels of the imperium where the Kheri Desert Fighters 121 Regiment. These brave men were forced into the Imperial Army to fight against the treacherous Horus and his followers. The stalwart navigators of Kheri were doomed as they began to find themselves lost within the warp. their powers falling them as the ghellar fields began to crumble allowing a host of daemons entrance into the fleet. The soldiers fought back with tooth and nail not knowing how the mighty shield had fallen. It was only too late when a great lord of decay forced its way into the bridge that the soldiers saw the traitor among them. A foul sorceror had sabatoged the mighty vessels and even now was begining a great and terrible curse that would doom the entire crew and the soldiers. Before the curse was complete the regiments Senior Officer had fought his way to the sorceror and before the final incantation could be brought forth he killed the wicked one. Despite his bravery the curse was still in effect and their flesh began to rot away before their very eyes. Despite these terrifying happensing all around them they managed to keep their humanity thanks to the acts of the officer. The Kheri regiment is said to appear from the ground on battlefields as they would back on the loose sands of their homeworld erupting from the ground grasping at their opponents and destroying them with a cold mechanical will that only survives to serve the emperor! |

| The Dark Apostle ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | thats pretty cool ![]() the Khemeri ('scuse me, Kheri) guardsmen...heh but drop troops would also be a good thing to represent rising from the sands (or whatever)

| yeah i had forgotten the correct spelling and well thats the closet i got. i didnt want it to be too much of a copying the khemri (sp?) tomb kings. besides this should allow yall to keep it in the guardsmen codex and give plenty of doctrines. although i must say i would love to see a rough rider for this army |

| thanks for the feed back guys i was pretty sure i wasnt the first one to think of it and im reviewing my funds to see if i can go through with this project MSGUARDSMAN thanks i like that fluff i think i might use it and bastardize it a bit but it is a great foundation ive been looking over the codexes and if i move forward on this i will be using the guard codex to build i like the idea of them still being loyal after death it has the whole FIRE HAWKS/lotd feel i really like the eygyption theme for the Khemri i was thinking of using that maybe they were members of the Imperial army from Prospero before the heresy i was looking at the Khemri models and i think the Ushabti models with alot of conversion would make great undead ogryn and the skeleton cavlry would be the craziest rough riders ive been thinking of an idea for converting the chariots but im not sure what they could represent maybe sentinals hey killer i think if we will be doing mirror projects we should bounce conversion ideas off each other

| hey no problem. you have my permission to use this fluff if you want and to change it in every way shape and form if you like. although i do like the idea of sentinel chariots. you could use the cockpit as the base for the chariot attach the two wheels somehow and jerry rig it so that its being pulled by the two horses/camels/whatever the hell you want animal. and you can just add the weapon on topped of the closed cockpit or something. |

Blog Entries: 1 | I think it'll work quite well! I'm gonna begin work on them as soon as i've finished my 1,500pts Space Marines, which won't be long. Only about 3 squads left to paint and a Dreadnought to buy. As for the Chariots idea, we could use the (Whatever it's called where they stand on the chariot) part for the head of the Sentinel, and the legs of the Sentinel.. for, well, the legs. Not sure how it'd look but we could always give it a try! =] |

| could be intersting idea. ill start a base drawing to see what it looks like. i do like this idea and i guess the weapon could be mounted under the chin instead of on the side |

| Sergeant ![]() | I just had a terrifyingly funny idea, a Horde of 40K zombies fighting an entire army... on Apocalypse scale. Just a giant mass of moaning corpses with a couple CSM Sorcerers scattered around as well would make for a well fun game ![]()
