751 point army list

Hey all,

I just noticed that I had the dark eldar update in chapter approved, so I went about doing a 750 point army (I then went a point over, but it's fine with my opponents).

So here it goes:

wych lord with retinue : 361

Archite with poisoned blades, gruesome talismans, shadow field, terrorfex, goblet of spite, Mask of the damned, Animus Vitae, haywire grenades and Trophy rack

&

8 wyches and a succumbus with wych weapons, 2 blasters, raider and trophy rack.

My main strategy will be to rush in with the Archite, blow a hole in the enemy, and will it with wyches. with the wyches in the middle dividing the enemy, have them press out words.

Either that or the opposite, Archite goes for the center with the wyches going to either flank and going inward.


I have not been able to try it out yet, so I have no Idea if it will work.

any suggestions?

+++ the only weapon you should ever give an archite is a punisher... swap the mask for a tormentor helm and lose the talismans & goblet as you don't want your enemies running away! safest place for wyches is to be permently locked in combat where they get that nifty 4+ save!
also you need combat drugs for sure! with the punisher + drugs + animus you'll end up hitting S6 - enough to kill most things on 2's or 3's which will leave your opponent in tears!+++

+++ succubus needs an agnoiser to help keep really nasty things like MC's at bay.
a raider's first upgrade should always be the nightshield. sure it may not sound like much, but trust me, it's well worth the pts to add 6" to every weapon trying to shoot you!+++

+++ they *must* be mounted! wyches trying to run into combat is a bad idea... they die to everything otherwise.
also, don't bother with shredders - your wyches can kill infantry in combat pretty effectively. stick to blasters for some anti-tank/anti-meq shooting.
add-in a succubus w/agoniser as well to give you the added punch you'll need against T4/3+ save troops.
also add plasma grenades so that you'll always strike first as well!+++

dark eldar are like no other army; make 1 mistake and you're pooched! they are pretty much 100% reliant on their raiders and/or webway portals to get across the table.
at such a low pts value, i'd honestly just stick to the 'basic' kabal list as the wyches tend to be quite expensive when properly kitted-out. the ability to take a 100pts warrior squad w/2x dark lance or two is gold in games of 1000pts and under!

plus, you need to really invest the pts in your archite for her to really show-off! a typical archite comes in at about 170-190pts on her own! but she'll waste pretty much anything your opponent can throw at her...

also, you need to invest into protecting your raiders; nightshields are a must. and a couple of cheap raider squads to act as 'escorts' will help ensure your more precious transports make-it to the enemy lines...
