| Conscript ![]() | Hello guys. I've been trolling this forum for close to a year now and finally decided to join. I've been playing Dark Eldar for close to 4 years but have never used Reavers before. My old army was destroyed in an accident, so I decided it would be cool to rebuild it in a different manner. Mainly, I intend to use Reaver Jetbikes in place of the Talos and huge Wych squads that I used to field. I'll get to my question once I explain my battle plan. I intend to use my Raider squad and my Wyches mounted in Raiders to tank shock (using Torture Amps, of course) the enemy lines (Devastator Squads, Imperial Guard heavy weapon lines, etc), causing them to split, taking them out of coherency. I then follow up the attack with three squads of five Reavers each to finish off the divided enemy squad(s), supporting the Warriors/Wyches/Archon/Urien Rakarth that disembark to shoot and assault in the next turn. My question is, do you folks believe that it is worth the points to add a tooled-out Succubus to the Reaver squads? They seem to be mighty expensive considering that they will be engaging a divided force which will be fairly easily overwhelmed once the shooting is done. Further, by leaving out the Succubus, I have enough points to buy another Raider squad or increase the size of my foot slogging Warriors. Thanks for your time!

| Something that I usually like to do is a 3 man squad of Reavers and give the succubus Haywire Grenades. Sometimes an Agonizer would be nice to have though.

| The torture amps IMHO do not work very well as most of the time the opponent facing you has a very good LD value, or has a member of the squad that has a weapon with a good enough strength to sacrifice a death or glory shot and stop you dead in your tracks. For the same points, you could take a night shield and help prevent getting shot down at long range before the wyches get to their destination.
