|  Id like to point out, that dark eldar are not going anywere soon. Although i have trouble finding certain models (wyches) there are DE models on the shelves, aswell as sevral codex's in both local games workshop. Also i heard from a games workshop staff member that the wyches are being redone around the same time as the new harlequins. |

Blog Entries: 1  | There is hope yet: The new Eldar codex mentions DE. I just hope they get a nice big redo. I'd buy them then. The models are just so...hideous now I couldn't bear to buy them, no matter how much I love the fluff and army.

| when a new codex comes out, that army gets alot of publicity, right? just look at the eldar. so, reasonably, if the dark eldar got a new codex as well, then more people would be curious about them and *GASP* PLAY THE DARN THINGS. theyre so cool, and i love their fluff, but the models are terrible (so much potential as well!) and theyre so old... |

 | I think they need some more fluff now. The fall and so on is all good, but that was 10000 years ago. All they seem to be now is a race of galactic puppy-kickers. And the models are butt-ugly... |

| Conscript | stubber - thats a cool idea1 all DE need is another edition, theyll find their place fine enough, first codex books are always a bit iffy, with the developers trying to find the armies role, as well as rules mechanics. now the basic ideas of both those concepts is sown, all the devs need to do is cultivate it and harvest it to its full potential... end silly analogies here  |

| The Dark Eldar are easily the most deadly army in existance when used by a tactical expert - their problem is that every single model is the same as when they were released - 8/9 years ago!!!! And with the exceptance of SM bikes, Land Speeders + Eldar Falcons, I don't think that there is a single other model in the main ranges that is THAT OLD. (ignoring Ork stuff cos its just about to be all completely replaced anyway) Its ridiculous. Another thing is that the Dark Eldar models need bulked up - yes their lightning quick piratical raiders, but they can still have some bulk to them. The Eldar are exactly the same species, just as lithe, but their models have always had bulk to them! Their whole concept needs reworked, they simply are not portrayed in anything like a suitable manner. They have nothing going for them in the opinion of the masses. They don't really shout pirates, slave takers or pitiless mass murderers!! They need an overhaul. And they need it badly. Apocalypse would be a brilliant excuse to play the the DEs background - why not create vehicles for the mass-transit of fresh playthings from the battlefields! Its exactly the type of characterful stuff that DE are desperate for. </rant>

Blog Entries: 1 | ogryns, rough riders, ratlings, ragnar blackmane and ulric the slayer who are both over 15 years old!!!. sorry, that was uncalled for. as far as the DE are conserned i think that the developers need to go off and watch the hellraiser series a couple of times with an eldar codex in their hand, just to get the evil menacing vibe.
