I have a few qualms about it (just from the intro movie):
1) the shoulder anti-ballistic shield is on the trigger arm - taht's the WRONG arm
2) spartans have battle-rifles (though there is sound explanation i believe, according to people who've "asked ensemble" but i havent heard any besides "not much time elapsed between halo wars and halo 2, plus Pillar of autumn is old ship so it didnt have battle rifle and only had the assault rifle")
However, to those taht care, It's not "too anime-y" and just cause it's on 360, doesn;t mean its garbage. BFME II proved that console RTS can be AWESOME on the 360.

Yea man i brought up the battle rifle quarrel with my friends the fact that the marines are using what looks to be halo armor as opposed to halo2 and they are armed with battle rifles. True that the battle rifle may have been developed before the new marine armor but as you say i dont think that much time has elapsed

HaloWars is pre-fall-of-reach, at time of first-encounter with covenant
thats at least 25 years till halo 2
And the armour thing - this is supposedly pre-halo1 armour (mark 3 or 4?)
and the ballistic armour - look at tau. the larger pad is on the OPPOSITE SHOULDER to the trigger arm

I hope there's going to be some sort of "MAC gun orbital strike" special attack
and a "glassing" orbital strike on the cov side

Im confused....is this going to be Halo 3 or will this be a new game....

if it is a new game, it will probably be released after Halo 3, so would any of you know when this is coming?

erm. not exactly
This is a halo RTS. It doesn't follow the halo line of games.
Same setting, but starts its own line.
Halo 3 is november 2007, Halo Wars is at least Q1 2008
probably Q3 or 4

yea its gonna be at least another year or so cos i believe the game is only in its early stages and if its to be true to the fps then they will indeed spend alot of time on it.

not really.
the FPS doesn't leave way for much units.
so many units are new (well, vehicles and airborne units anyways)
things like the mongoose (ATV concept) might make it into halo wars
