Blog Entries: 1  |  video card not working when i try to start a game using its button on my desktop, it goes to a black screen, then returns to my desktop with a message "failed to initalize video card" can anybody help me?

  | Re: video card not working I'll have a go at helping. Firstly I am going to assume you have Windows XP or Vista, correct me if I am wrong. Right, a few questions to help me get an idea of what is wrong; 1) What game are you trying to open/run? 2) What graphics card do you have? To find out what graphics card you have, right click on My computer and then open the device manager (on the left column for vista, should be in a tab in XP). Click on the + next to "Display adapters" and it will tell you. As said by Vishnoff your drivers may be out of date. Once you tell me what graphics card you have I can find the drivers for you.

Blog Entries: 1 | Re: video card not working It really depends on the game and the graphics card. And if you've got a Radeon, I pity you. Radeon's are notorious for driver problems. (My old one is a prime example) Wish I still had my new pc, my sister's stolen it with her boyfriend. Well I say stolen, I mean fix, because while we were fitting a motherboard, power supply, DDR 2 Ram and a processor I kind of.. spilt coffee on the old HDD... and lost Vista.. YAY, lost Vista.
