So what does everyone think about the new Warhammer online MMO?
will it be an rpg, fps, tps , or something entirely different?
how do you think it will compare to WOW?

I won't compare it to WoW. WoW isn't worth the carboard and paper used in making it. Poor trees.

That said, I have seen trailers and in game screenshots, and it will be (from the looks of it) and RPG.

hey WoW isnt that bad. heck it has inspired so many great videos , Leeroy Jankins who for playing with that guy i was somewhat of a celebrity on my cruise, the internet is for porn (i lovly little film with a tauren singing a song while a troll keeps interupting at the worst time by saying for porn. also lets not forget the funeral invasion and all the other crap.

but i will say this wow was and still is fun to me and many millions of players. i just needed something to keep my attention until warhammer came out.

I'd almost bet money that it will suck.

From what I've heard they only have one chaos god (and its not slanesh, who is by far the most popular), and some other stuff that turned me off.

If they arent making the game for us fans, then who the hell are they expecting to attract? WOW has a strong hold on the mmo market, and this doesnt look like the game to dethrone it.

I dont like wow, not that its a bad game, ihave a problem with the whole mmo formula. just the whole idea of paying for a game that you already bought without the option of...you know...not paying anymore and still being able to play what you bought.

i dont know, the game looks pretty amazing but the whole layout(and im sad to say) looks exactly like wow , even the interface on which you play. my only hope is that they offer better classes. on wow , if youre a priest, youre a priest, well on this you can be a Warrior/priest a good combo

well we all know we'd rather it be a 40k MMORPG anyway right?

You can only PLAY as a character from one of the Chaos Gods but they're all going to be in the game as NPCs. In fairness it would be difficult to imagine playing a MMORPG as one of the other god's followers- cant really imagine that much scope for trading/group work with a follower of Khorne, Slaanesh is a little too hedonistic for player characters, especially since this game is being marketed at young teens as well as adults, and dont get me started on Nurgle...

except for the rumours of a Dwarf mount (pretty much needed for balance to give them their dues) this game is as close to the WHFB background as possible.

Endless war: check
Stupidly happy Alliance/Horde: get out, now!

I agree with the whole subscription thing but I dont know enough about computers/internet to suggest an alternative.

im still not gonna hold my bearth for it being a good...or even decent game. Unless they figure out a way to do something new, or somethign better than wow, its doomed to fail.

I think the only reason blizzard made World of Warcraft was because they knew that Games Workshop might attempt something in the future, so they made the best thing they could think of and fast. Then they began to make it even more similar to the Warhammer Universe just to make sure their tight grip on their players would retain.

The burning legion is exactly based on chaos and one of the main reasons it's developed so far is because of the release of WoW.

If you ask me, Blizzard is worried that they'll be surpassed by GW in terms of an MMORPG so they made WoW and since GW knew this aswell, they took their time and are making WAR as good as they can to overtake WoW dedicated disciples.

actually if you look at the WOW forums, many people use the WOW abreveation for Waiting On Warhammer, thats how excited they all are to see it come out!

considering most of them are familiar with GW anyway and taking into the account the fact that WOW, for all its players, inst that good a system, im sure WAR! will hig huge when it comes out

WAR is superior in almost every way.
Questing is better, PvP is better, Graphics and gameplay is better.
STORYLINE IS BETTER.

It was pushed back to Feb 08 now I think, was due out at the end of this year but after EA bought out Mythic they dumped a crap load more money into it and they had to go back and fix what they had already done (Dwarfs and Orcs).

All the new stuff they were putting out was alot better content and graphics wise. Oh well it will be worth the wait and being a HUGE MMORPGer playing since the start of UO and beta testing to many games I can safely say this game is going to ROCK and ROCK HARD! Its fixing everything that is currently wrong with WoW mainly the endless raiding to continue to raid system and the failed PvP system. They are taking all the great thinks from Dark Age of Camelot (Best pvp system ever) and making it even better.

So I can say without a doubt in my mind, I would even bet on it, there is no way this game is going to fail and I would be very very suprised if it didnt become the #1 MMORPG almost over night.

I played WOW in a rogue server... it was good but i don´t really connected to the world/setting.

But i`m very connected to warhammer world, specially fantasy...

That`s a complete rip-off of avenue q, word by word You should check theatre plays more often :P
