|  Admiral Marbles's Introduction Introductory speech : Greetings all, seems like a pretty cool site and I have much to learn about this new hobby of mine. Basic Info Just started the whole wargaming hobby about 7 months ago, liking it alot so far, and have a bunch of cool people to play with. Name: Mike Armies owned/paint status: Warhammer: Bretonnians, 2000 pt force, about 70% completed 40K: Imperial Guard...just started this like month and a half ago, doing pretty well collection wise, and im having em painted like my armored battalion I was with in Iraq. | yerp! welcome. dont feed stitch dont look Erus directly in the eyes (he will steal your soul) do be active do give me money but seriously now. theres not really much discussion at all about warhammer (40kterra after all) i always think its interesting when people play guardsmen to replicate WWII or modern tactics or paint schemes. ive seen a guard army with spikes on their heads like WWI german uniforms  probrobly from the chaos vehicle bits |

| hey, sorry took me awhile to jump back online. Love to get some pics up soon, once I get a few more men and machines done I shall. I have about 55 guardsmen/heavy weapons teams painted so far. I used Reaper "terran Khaki/ Khaki highlight" for my tan and blotched with "bestial brown" for the camo part. The armor is dark angels green, and I think it looks pretty realistic so far. For the tanks I wanted a desert quick spraypaint as was used for the real thing, so I bought several tans and have been combining them for my vehicles. So far the only one finished 100% is my Chimera, as Ive been only playing combat patrols so far...but I have amassed another chimera, 2 russes, 2 sentinels, a hellhound, and a bassi...all primed so far but have to drybrush em and pick out decals and all. Anyhow pics are on their way...maybe with some of the real thing to compare it with! |
