ref the large iw. its a bit of both. they are pretty much the army i started with that has gone thru a few transformations since i started playing in 2000.
there is approx 30% wargear in my 7000 pts list and i've added a few squads and vehs since i last did that. but there is no scare tactic worse against an enemy then when they realize that you just infiltrated 2 large hq squads 18" away from them and you have a 19-24" charge range on 1st turn and you just won the roll for first turn !!

i'll get some pics up here soon of the army if i can.

on a single force org chart like what i used? only if they too were playing chaos. sissy loyalists cant seem to figure out that even when you're a bad*** numbers are still good

ususally when i end up playing a game over 3000-3500pts i end up taking on 2 or more players or allowing them to use models in excess of 1 force org chart. but they never seem to want to let me use more than 1 force org chart maybe being able to make almost 4 1850pts armies without using the same models has some factor in thier decision......

ususally i only play around 1850pts at the local store down here in lakewood. however i heard about a mega battle type campaign thats going to be starting soon (if it hasnt already) over at the new battle bunker in south center. per the fellas at the gw store here in tacoma its suppossed to be starting around 500-1000pts each and working up to 10,000 per player by the time its done. of course all units fielded have to be painted and based which mine arent (dang i'm slow at some stuff). and its suppossed to be happening on sundays from 12p or 2p on (i forget which) which counts me out as i'm working then....

maybe i could get some of the guys to play a campaign similar down here but it would have to start small and work up to maybe 3000pts max or so. we tried a 3500pts game here on st patys day but that didnt go very smoothly. took too long. now the game after that i played with just me and a sm player using our 3500pts armies was a different story. he chose not to shoot my hq that infiltrated right near his command squad. bad choice for him. he was playing very termie heavy. my hq of 5 models (no termies!!) walked thru almost 75% of his army by turn 5. it was ugly!! i loved every second of it!!

You can always post individual models, or entire armies and we will check them out. You can also use the Gallery to post images of your models, armies and other stuff for everybody to see.
This forum has many people with an insane amount of knowledge about all gaming systems, even Aeronautica Imperialis.

Check out the Battlefield 40K System we have created. this allows people to battle with each other, even if they live on different continents!

THE INQUISITOR is our very own Internet magazine. If you are a good writer, then why not write an article about something you enjoy.

in case you haven't heard yet; the apocalypse looms on the horrizon. a conflict so vast that entire armies will be consumed in mere moments!
(transplation: codex apocalypse is coming end of this year!!! basically it's a book centered around 10,000+pts battles or rather 'if you have it, use it'!)

but you can make a 7k army....with ONE FOC!??!?!

yep just under 7100pts with 1 force org chart. even pulled out all the models and set them up in units to make sure i wasnt doubling up on models. still had some models left over that wouldnt fit into current units legally or make another with out messing with the other units. since then i've picked up some more basic troops and a few tanks.

now i'd like to see this codex appocalypse (however you spell the dang thing....), i'd like to know if they are going to expand force org charts or create new ones for them. ie. if you are fielding x amount of points you can add x troops, elites, fast or hvy choices to your org chart.

that would be interesting....hmmm 6 heavies.......ooooh 6 elites.....obliterators......ymmmmm (wheres a dang napkin when i need one....

This isn't fair... I barely have 1000pts of space marines (plus some IG my friend game me)... I mean, I don't play that often... (although I need to play a few games soon), but, still... 7000pts?!!!!!!!!!!!!!
