Glad to be back! - 40K Terra

I'm back in action! I'm a bit sore, but no troubles so far. Goodbye gallbladder, good riddance! So what did I miss? I'm recovering quite nicely, I was making army lists the day after the surgery. So don't worry about ol DK, I'm fine, and the good Lord blessed me with a speedy recovery. Should be at 100 percent soon. Got my stuff from the Warstore, so termies and Slaanesh raptors should be built soon.

Well, I didn't keep anything from the surgery. I was too out of it on painkillers to even remember to ask! They gave me some Demoral, it's freakin strong enough to knock an elephant out. I was quite terrified, I'm such a big sissy! As far as scars go Wakim, I don't really think I'll have any, and if so they will be quite small *hangs head in shame* but I guess that is good in a way (just not very macho)!

WELL a Gall Bladder Is not something that would be cool to take home...Its messy smelly and quite painful if you have problems (how about a nice greasy burger before the surg DK?? He more than likely doesn't have even this buddy. Surgery is more MICRO now and probly only has one or 2 incisions 3 or 4 mm long.
My wife is looking at meniscal (knee) micro surg (from Snow boarding) and it now is amazing. Mine in 1994 I still have puckers and scars and she will have not even a small scar to show!!!

Well, I didn't get staples, they used some kind of surgical glue (ha, I feel even closer to my CSM, cause I'm glued together also!) but I can get pics even though that's an odd request! The incisions are quite small, and they still have bandages on them, but I gotta go back to the hospital Wed., and they will probably take them off. I'll get a pic then.

he had a scar that spanned half his stomach

Just make sure you`re not getting close to any sharp edges or pointy sticks untill the drugs ware off

I`ll have to look into that glue you mentioned... i hope they didn`t trick you and used superglue or anything... (actually, paper glue is cheaper and doesn`t harden too much so some variation of it might actually work...scary)

Actually, some Jeopardy trivia ........Superglue was actually developed to replace external sutures (stitches you can see). The formula is still produced for gluing skin as the trade/brand name "dermabond" (meaning skin bond) and DOES glue plastic 40K models together!!! It was used and marketed as a multipurpose glueall after it failed to preform as expected in OR (operation room).

My work here is done and now everyone is Smarter!!
