Lord Commander Erus's Introduction - 40K Terra

Well, to some of you I daresay I need no introduction. But to a large majority, i'm likely only that wierdo who's at the top of the post list! (I'm not that wierd, reports of my sanity are greatly delfated, i'm even worse!!)

I'm Lord Commander Ersu, once long long ago, in the before time, I helped build this site, and then I decided to get deathly ill, try to be married, and well.. It all sorta went KA-BOOM.

I'm back now.. I've been into 40k for 3-4 years or more.. Probably closer to 5 or 6, but my memory isn't the best now a days. I started out oggling my best firend's dads Emperors Children.

Then I found all his old RT and 2nd edition marines he painted up to be Red Scorpions. And his Steel Legion.. And his RT Dark Angels.. I asked about them, and was given an arm load of fluff books (Codex Astartes, the big 'Visions of' art books, etc..) and told 'Read...'

Coming back to it, I was interested in Khorne at first, because the old fluff protrayed him as a God of martial prowess and honor, but blood lust tinging it all. The new (then) 4th edition portrayed him in a psycho axe murder light, so I settle on Emperors Children. I'm a perfectionist as well, so the two fit.

About 2.3K in (I build slowly, paint even slower, and have EXTREMELY limited funds) the new Chaos 'dex came out. I was disgusted by the changes, and began selling off my army.. I now have roughly 1.3K or possibly 1.5K, including bits and bobs, and may someday re-do the VI Grand Company for an Apoc Force, but at this time they're all sitting in storage glaring at me.

I then moved to an ambitious project, which earned my (I think) my reputation for instanity 'round these parts.. The Black Saints. You can find all the fluff and WIP details in my sig and in the appropriate forums.. I'll be making a blog to link and organize them all rather soon.

However, the more I think about, that project was associated with a time in my life i'm trying to move past and leave utterly behind me. So, i'm back in the game, but considering a new army. It's looking like Eldar or Tau, to be bluntly honest most likely Eldar. Probably a Biel Tan force, or mayeb Saimhan.. I have to do my research.

And yes, it will be SMALL.. No more than 1K to start, and 1.5K max. And that is a firm rule. I want to actually get an army DONE.

*hands out refreshment and stimulants to wake any people who've fainted*

I won't be as active as old, but I am back, and will hopefully be contributing soon!

The marines were shelved about the time I left here.. I think the only development was a refined and sleeker hand flamer conversion for one of them. But otherwise, they are shelved indefinitely, and most likely permanately.

Not sure, and not sure I really care anymore!! lol!!

I can tell you I will be tyring for Adpeticon or GD Chi-town next year!!! I live basically 30-45 mins outside of Cleveland now, so i'm significantly closer then Kentucky!!

Although, I'm not finding ANY official GW stores in Ohio?? W...T....F...???

Yeah. I live in Florida, and you'd think that the 4th and 7th most populous states would have at least one GW store each. No such luck.

No GW where I live either. I have to play in a cramped room which was once a tenement flat with a severely slanted floor above a small bookshop which also serves as the only source of Warhammer products in about 40 miles. Good times.
