Seems I've fallen in with the right folks. Couldn't be happier.

I haven't ever used Seraphim in Deep Strike, no.

*leans back, watching the Panic* Well hell, I'm in the USA, not Britain and not particularly Pure, but certainly rather loyal. So ya know, I'm not especially worried about being eaten as it were.

See, I have these more than occasional fits where..BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!..erupts. I love chain axes; pity they don't do as they did before. These days though that lot tends to stay in their case as the new Codex and I are not best friends. So I took up my battlesisters again.

Sister Sin; for whom the 'Sin' portion fits rather nicely at times.

Sort of. I have enough for, oh, 3-4,000 points or so, I am not really sure as they are mostly unassembled. Within that are a squad of Noise Marines, a squad of Thousand Sons, several Black Legion squads, harpies, a Daemon Prince, Abaddon, a Sorcerer, and a squad of Terminators/Chosen. These were bought with the old 'dex in mind.

Assembled at the moment are a Land Raider, a Rhino, and a Defiler, partially in the latter case. The Land Raider and Rhino are in fact painted up, so perhaps a pic of those, perhaps one of the three or four squads I have painted up.

The color scheme is black with gold trim. Really it's Brazen Bronze with Shining Gold highlights, so it looks gold. The black has some edging done with Codex Grey. Other than that they aren't terribly detailed excepting the vehicles, which feature opening doors and hatches...even the ones not normally designed to open.

As I mentioned in the Chaos section, the new 'dex pretty much robbed me of any interest in playing these armies at the moment, although Black Legion does pretty well under the new 'dex. It isn't my main thrust as it were.

I know there's other stuff I'm forgetting, but I haven't had them out since just before the new 'dex came out.

Sister Sin

EDIT: Hmmm, perhaps I should use these as the first attempts to True Scale my Marines, seeing as they are mostly unassembled. I could more or less get the techniques down before going to my Salamanders and World Eaters. Hmmm...

True-scaled Black Legion? Awesome! Don't fret Sister, Black Legion does well under the new dex. Of the last half dozen or so games I've played, I've won around 3/4 of them. Granted I only fight 2 close friends who play Necrons and Dark Angels, but these guys know there stuff. They are both members here, I just can't get them to be active! I've heard a lot of complaints about the new dex, but honestly I love it. My Black Legion is better now than in the 3rd ed. Oh, I want your opinion on something.

Here's what I'm working on. Around 4500pts, still a lot of work to do. I gotta paint, so hopefully I'll get brave enough and get the supplies soon. I particuarly want your opinion on Abbadon.

My Black Legion works-in-progress

Also check out my WIP above for updates.

I know the new 'dex works well for Black Legion, but since I am in fact a World Eaters player rather than a Chaos player, I don't much like the new 'dex.

I like that you based Abaddon on the new chaos terminators...good job that. You might consider a go at True Scaling him, even if the others aren't. It would make him much larger which, infused with the blessings of all the Chaos gods, he really ought to be. Just a thought. I figure on doing it one of these days. Probably make good practice for what I really want to do it for.

Good job.

Wel well, glad to see someone with spine within the SCA. Kentuckys division doesn't like me much.. apparently I truly am a barbarian...

Brain, don't you worry... I'll hunt you down soon enough, though I won't use anything sharp. Probably a mace... Harder to identify the corpse if eveyrthing is pulped! lol

sister, send me a PM or e-mail sometime with your address.... I have something I was to give a friend who had started a salamander army, but he's no longer doing them, so I think you'll enjoy it more.

I guess this means I need to take pics of the Adeptus Custodes I just got in, as well as the karskin for my Inquisitorial force and their color scheme and the host of other things I've been doing whilst my computer is being revived?

You know, I never really thought about TS anything. I think I lack the GS skills, so maybe one day I'll try it. So you like the World Eaters? I really don't think they lost a lot with the new dex. Still super brutal in CC. Plus we'll get a specific dex for them soon. I suggest you check out Dead Commando's WIP. He has some very nice TS preheresy World Eaters. He does spectacular work with TS, so ask him for tips.

Berserkers are a bit tougher with the new Dex, yes. That isn't the point.

The World Eaters, the actual Legion, not people turning to Khorne from somewhere else and wanting to be, are Khorne's favorites. They are entirely devoted to him.

So when my Terminators, or my Lord lose their devotion because they failed a morale test, they are most assuredly NOT World Eaters. True World Eaters don't do that. They don't run. They don't cower and lose their faith. They slaughter.

So, while in game play they may have lost little if anything, they are simply Khornate warriors in World Eater colors, except the Berserkers. That isn't a World Eater army by my definition.

I play World Eaters. Not Khornate wannabes. Not Chaos in general. World Eaters. And since the new 'Dex has pretty much wiped out what interested me in them in the first place, I don't play them much anymore.

Just my take, and ONLY my take. How I see it.

Very good points. Your fanaticism says you still have a place in your heart for the minions of the Blood God. So I really hope the upcoming Legion codices get you back to taking skulls!
