  |  Sister Sin's Introduction Introductory speech: Hiya gang! How did you find 40KTerra.com? Noticed an advert for it in Liber Imperialis as I was perusing a True Scaling World Eaters article. Basic info: I'm a rarity; a 51 year old woman who has been playing since '87. Name:Siani Armies owned:Salamanders, World Eaters, Imperial Guard Armored Battlegroup, Dark Eldar, Eldar, Black Legion, and Witch Hunters (Adepta Sororitas). Location: Sunderland Massachusetts, USA Contact info: Just PM me, that will do fine. Any other information? I became hugely motivated by the True Scale article. I'm considering doing that with some Pre-Heresy Salamanders in fact. They were my first army and are still my largest by a very long way. I like to scratch build things, I camp, I fight in the SCA, and do too many other things to describe. Sister Sin

Right... Now that you've been shown the insanity... Welcome to the site... D_C will be plenty glad he inspired someone, it seems to make him happy. I would dearly love to see some of those armies though! I don't fight in the SCA, but I do study Medieval combat... The SCA is too soft for my liking. The local boy's here use PVC and foam and can barely understand my consternation at such. And apparently one of them can kick sand into my eyes... But my reaction of taking my helm off and slamming it upside his head was dirty? lol Glad to have you aboard, and I hope you enjoy your stay!

Some additional bits: I'm a blacksmith/bladesmith, I also do Roman reenactment (Legio II Adiutrix Pia Fidelis as I am a former Marine Sergeant myself), and I train with real weapons, mostly sword and board, but also quarterstaff, sling, bow, shortsword, and axe. I'll see about getting some pics of my armies up at some point. For Warhammer Fantasy I have Dwarfs, Bretonnians, and Dark Elves. I have Escher for Necromunda, and an entire first cohort of early Imperial Romans in historic miniatures. And a very large Briton army to go with them. And we won't get into the miscellaneous stuff. O-o What else? Ah..I camp, hike, bike, exercise, belly dance, Persian dance, occasionally misbehave, and well, I'm old enough to know what fun is and young enough to enjoy it to the hilt. Sister Sin

Though I'm glad that many of us aren't stereotypes: pale and nonathletic! I'm starting goalie for my school's JV Lacrosse team as a softmore and a nerd! (Maryland private schools take Lacrosse Really fricken seriously.)

The whole True Scaling bit has me all fired up now. Not only do I want to have a go at some Salamanders with that, since they are my oldest army, but now I have a serious desire to have a go with my World Eaters too, second oldest army since I started them as soon as the RoC books came out. Fitting, to have an enemy of appropriate hardness to face I think. Sisters are, I guess, about the right scale so there's nothing I can do there...besides, I'd have to sculpt them from scratch which is more than a bit of work. LOLThanks again guys. As soon as some real life stuff is settled I'll start saying the odd thing here and there in other places; I don't do 'me too' type posts since I generally only comment if I think what I want to say is worthwhile and hasn't already been said. But I'll be active enough I think. And pictures, yes, must not forget pictures. Sister Sin
