Default 2 Duo Core with Windows Vista!

Hey everyone! Just set up my new Dell 2 Duo core processor, with Windows Vista! Its fantastic! I'm going to be getting Battlefield 2142 in a few hours, and I'll be blasting people on my 19 inch screen! w00t!! (Sorry about that, I felt it was necessary)

So yeh, its very, very nice! That kind of explains my day and a bits absence.

40K!!!!! Vista is still probably full with problems. Give it a month or two and yo will see...

Also you will get more perfomance out of your existing computer if you stick with XP. If you really want Vista style stuff, just get a Apple mac. No bugs, no viruses, good quality computers. And its been out for years, so its been tried and tested!

We've had vista at where I work for two to three weeks now, been on public display for two. It is actually almost virtually bug free, and a really bad arsed OS. I like it, and will be getting it, considering i'm trying to decide what to get with my finanical aid (after my fiancees car comes out of it) a scratch built computer, or one from work that I upgrade.

Because your Emperor is highly superior, and his loyal subjects serve him,

I got Windows Vista Ultimate Upgrades for 40$ a piece.

(It pays to live where MS is founded ).

What 40k isn't full of bugs? (don't mean the Nids)
With all the erreta and Q&A articles out there the game must be full of rules problems.

There isn't that many people can't figure out the rules...or is there???
(Says the guy who has to constantly tell nOObs that infantry only move 6 inches)

Default Ahh, crud! It died! :(

Uh, yeh, feeling slightly less happy now. Tried to run a partitioning programme to spit up the drives, and it kind of died. Really died. Well, live and learn I suppose. It's slowly coming back to life as we speak, may be fixed in a couple of days. Though it could take weeks. I can't even system restore or reboot it back to factory status as when it starts too it stops halfway with an error message.

The moral of this story is, never run a programme that Vista says may not work on it! That's pretty much everything!

Oh, and Cag, the specs... 2 Duo core processor, 1.86 Ghz, 2 gig ram, 350 gig sata drive, 250 mb Nvidia graphics card. And a 19 inch screen. See, I actually knew this! Well, once it's fixed, I'll be playing BF 2142 on it. But for the moment, don't expect many posts from me!

Default Yay! It has been resurrected!

Sorry for the double post, but thanks to a recent turn of events I think it's worth it! Thanks to my fantastic Dad, whose spent all day glued to the computer trying to fix it, it's now back up and running! Vista is fantastic, and I'm really happy with it. We've managed to partition the drives while installing Vista, so everything is good. Should get BF2142 up and going tomorrow, and then bloodshed shall commence!

It's really, really sweet though...
