Blog Entries: 5 | The day bruce willis dies is the day my anthro/socio/psych teacher cries =] Live free or Die hard was GREAT only if you wanted ACTION and nothing else. I thought the action was crude, jokes as well, and everything was over the top. BUT it was enjoyable (extremely so) ANYWAY. Sure a lot of the stuff in the movie wouldn't actually be possible in real life (like the JSF engaging in the way it did. i mean WTF was that?) but it was COOL and it KICKED ASS. That's what really mattered. and haha "from the guys who saw 300"

It was all exaggerated for the graphic novel's story. Come on guys, you have to understand that 300 was originally a graphic novel: imagine Marvel meets history books. Basically some comic book guy was like, "You know what? Those Spartan guys from history were cool, but I bet we could make them even cooler. Oh, I know, let's make the Persians super greedy and evil! And they'll have mutants and freaks in their army! Oh, oh, I know, and giant elephants!" It was loosely based from a real event, but they mixed it with fantasy and fictional elements. Saying 300 is true to history is like saying Captain America really existed in American history. | |
