anyone up for it? i have something in the works for a good person i belive deserves it.

so here's the general idea, having been firmed up a bit over the next few pages.

1-we give details of our army and paint scheme to god grinder who will then randomly determine who's buying for whom. god grinder will pm each of us with the info for who we're buying for

2-the gift should be something relevant to the other persons army. if you already have something in your collection that fits the bill, cool. if not, depending how generous you feel (), at least a single army relevant blister pack is the minimum.

3-whatever you are sending has to be personalsed in some way. this includes painting and/or converting. once the painting/modelling is finished, package tightly and post it to the lucky reciever. before sending, get a pic of the gift just in case something goes wrong in the post. that way we'll still have something to post in the gallery.

the deadline for postage is new year, accepting the slowassed speed of intercontinental mail over the holiday period.

there will also be a gallery section dedicated to the gifts given so that we can proudly show off what santa bought us

um. i was thinking we each paint a fig for someone and send it to them. or something like that. suggestions to complement this idea would be helpfull.

I'm actually already doing this. One certain person is getting a box full of hand made models from me sometime this year. Though we'd need organization to this.

I actually thought about doing this too, just randomly painting a model for someone in their favorite army colors and sending it to them.

but I was thinking more along the lines of an apothecary or sergeant (or the relative equivalents of other armies), not run of the mill troops but not commander units either, which generally cost a bit of money.

Well if its no problem with you guys I would like to take the reins... or work out some sort of deal and get this happy event of pure chaos and carnage.

I would think everyone could participate, and we would all have to get our addresses in the same place.

So I'm thinking everyone that is participating posts their address and their favorite army on this post or another, then we go through and pick out someone to paint a figure for. After we've picked who we want, we pm who-ever is in charge and make sure no one else has that person, then paint up our figure.

The figure shouldn't be much more then a line trooper or sergeant. Or maybe impose a $15.00 limit?

As for mailying the minis i wish i lived near any of you because i could`ve greatly helped since i already have a home made package "production line" going on since the days of Ebay

Actually mailing a sigle mini will prove to be harder than some might thing

You need shield it :P probably with cardboard and any form of soft filling.

Just felt like i needed to remind you this last bit since many people tend to forget the devilery system when they get those "i`ll send you some" ideas

for a true secret santa feel, it should be random in some way, all who want to participate, add ther names and addresses and then we figure out a way to pick them randomly like pulling names out of the hat, perhaps the person incharge places # to each name then people pick numbers? eather way im in.

As i`m already getting (or at least threatened that i will recive) some minis from certain big hearted terrans that can`t have me leave my live miniless
