Indeed it would, unfortuantly, judging by the cost of only the rulebook, its not going to be cheap!

its no more expensive than the 40k rulebook and im pretty sure its a better game! so i dont see the problem, and its a FW book, so itll be nice (as those colour pages with technical drawings clearly show!)

I may check it out. I am a lover of flight, and a 40K fanatic, so who knows. The two should mix nicely, but I have my Emperors Children to complete first.

i think this game looks quite enjoyable! who hasn't looked at the 40k scale aircraft, gunships and transports and not thought how cool it would be to build entire squadrons to play with. i mean, anyone whos read double eagle or guns of tanith can tell you that. (feel free to disagree Dan Abett fans!) but due to the price and size of kits it could only be a dream. now you have that chance! in miniture!!!!

Just bought one off the site should be arriving hopefully sometime this week, wahooo!!!!.

I don't think the price is actualy too bad, especially the models if you don't get tau you can get most things for £12 which if i remeber correctly is a lot cheaper then the models where when they where epic

Sweeeeeet... but then again Im amazed by anything 40k...

Are the models smiliar in size to the BFG models? They look it...
I didn't really read the rules over very well but it looks like something that would be fun to play, if forgeworld doesnt charge us anywhere the price of their single ships to play it (aka I dont want to pay 300-1000 bucks to complete my 2-5 model "airforce" lol)

Other than that, new rules are always fun to look over and try out, but my first models might be paper, cardboard, and bitz

(OK, ill shutup on FW prices now!)

I think the rules are designed with Epic scale models in mind.

That or FW is gonna make a brand new model range.

Both Aeronautic imperialis threads have been merged. Please check that a thread does not already exist, before starting a new one.

Well, I think it looks very interesting. I'm not much for Epic or BFG, but this games looks like it could be fun. It might be worth looking into, after some other projects (Black Templars) are completed.

Just got my rulebook, now i've been looking through it and i was wondering if it could be alright to use Imperial vehicles in a chaos army like in a normal 40K game, it doesn't say anything in the rules so i would think its something you check with your oppenent first what does everyone else think?

Well, If it does not say in the rules, I suppose its up to you and the opponent. I'm guessing that nobody else has the rule book yet. You may be able to Email Forgeworld about the problem at: forgeworld@games-workshop.co.uk

They will probably be able to give you a definite answer. As this is a new game, there aren't many other people with the knowledge to help at the moment.

my fears for this game is that 1) its forgeworld and hella expensive 2) it is like a spec-game... so it might just end up in the drain like BFG

Sorry to dig this thread up, but now that some time has passed, is anyone playing this? I'm just about to order some Eldar ships, but I'm interested in knowing how you guys are finding this game... I played a game yesterday, and really enjoyed it!

You had to wait 2 months? Sucks to be you!

I'll probably put them together at my local GW tomorrow... Resin models are not my forte! When I next play a game with them, I'll tell you all how it went (I'll probably get my ass kicked, as per usual)...
