Another great mind of the fantasy realm has been lost. The Wheel Weaves as the Wheel Wills, and mayhaps in Ages yet to come and Ages past, this great man will sit down to tell a tale again. Rob, John, you two behave up there.. And no sharing secrets like where the last simaril went or why the One Power was divided by the Creator, y'hear? | Banned | Re: Another great mind lost... im in no shape or form a fan of the books, which i think are foul, but i have utmost respect for the man as an author, for anyone who has the talent to create a world that enraptures so many people deserves great praise... but really, isnt it a bit late for this? is it goinna take us 6 months to write up somethign about arthur c clarke, or gary gygax or charlton heston? |

| Re: Another great mind lost... From what I understand of his series... they got to the point where the characters were immortal gods of divine power... or something like that. However... anyone who can write that much, and get it all published, and have the fan base he did, is worth a mention. Still... in terms of Epic Fantasy of the Modern Age, Steven Erikson is a better author, according to my friend who has read both.
