Well forgeworld have today released another huge model, but this time on that cant even be used in the game. They have created a huge Bloodthirster ....... Head

Here is the link:

i didnt even think forgeworld made display pieces any more - the last one they made was ages ago!

thats insane, you can see the channels in its nostrils! hehe. its quite cool actually, but i think it would have been better off as a bronze bust or something like that. at that price, im not sure many people will get it. im sure theyll make their money back though, eventually.

WTF?? Why would you want to buy that for £175? All it can do is try to put off your opponent, even if only in the sense that they think you're nuts for getting it! Looks pretty cool though

Well kids, that`s what Sculptors, Model Makers do when they are really bored and have all the equipment they need at their disposal... they make stupid stuff, cool looking plastic stupid stuff.

Then they sell it

Quite frankly, if you've got the money to buy one of those things, and you don't use it to buy more minis, your not a true 40ker. At least, that'll be my excuse when everyone realises I don't have even a fraction of the money to buy it. Damn my cash hogging Eldar!

That thing's a pulling machine! Or, rather, a pretty freaky head of a fictional monster. Who doesn't like that?

lol

It's crazy, I know, but there will people who'll buy that. Namely terrain makers such as myself, though I don't think I'll be purchasing that particular item.

Were I rich, I would buy it, mount it on a corn dog type stick and use it as an aspiring champions trophy rack (this idea springs from me deciding to imbibe a bit o' the brown irish brew called guiness and model when my fiancees bits got mixed with mine. My aspiring champion ended up with the wailing doom arm somehow.... ). All in all, I agree with the general group. It's nice and all... But i'd rather have more minis. While we're on FW.. Anyone else getting a bit nirked that all they're doing is Death Korps right now? Great guard army, but c'mon.

Err, sorry bout this, but whats a corn dog??

The Death Korps are very tasty, but they could make a few models for different armies at the same time. As I said though, the Death Korps are very nice

well be getting more traitor stuff soon, with adeptus mechanicus and world eater death guard stuff once the DkoK are done so dont worry

A corn dog is a thoroughly american fast-food thing. Basically, it's
  • a hot dog
  • on a stick
  • completely wrapped in a corn meal breading

If it wasn't for the fact that most can potentially clog entire arteries, it'd be quite good.

And I agree with you on the Death Korps, the models are very nice, but I think they could afford to be doing a little something else. But on the other hand, the Great Unclean One with the rotting nipples has me...well....it's a well-detailed model. I don't think I can say much else wihout appearing slightly disturbed. In a bad way.
