Blog Entries: 3     |  Curses! Ever been having a really good time, then in the midst of just talking, your sword decides to fall apart? I doubt anyone other than our dear Sister Sin has a possibility of knowing this bizzare situation. I was just talking (in dress, without armor, but sword belted on) to a person in the crowd, helping advert for my home Faire. And I heard a clunk. I thought 'Great... The cell phone fell out of my pouch, that looks awkward'... Upon looking down however, I found far worse... The pommel of my sword (far end) of almost three years, which has seen me through a lot, had mysteriously fallen off, along with the tang, hilt, and everything. I now had a blade in a leather sheath. So, I took it to a friends camp site, and we commenced some emergency repairs. It will never be fully suitable for battle (unless i'm feeling suicidal) ever again. It also, due to whatever caused it to fall apart, wouldn't go on perfectly centered. So now, not only do I need armor and clothing to fit my new station as a minor knight and lord, but I need a blade as well, and a bow. The life of Ren-junkie is not always an easy one! So, if anyone is a hidden blacksmith or armor smith... Help a little guy out? lol

Blog Entries: 3 | Re: Curses! I tend to hurt people with a mace. Like, as gently as I can, I still dent plate and such... It's just not a pretty thing. When I get in the middle of fighting I get a bit riled up, and then all gentleness is gone and i've been known to have whinged someone upside the head and somehow ****ed up the helme they wore enough he couldn't open the visor. ^.^ I may just pick up an axe. That'll show 'em!

| Re: Curses! me an my friend were sparring with our wooden katanas, on the first contact mine broke it appears there was a flaw in the machining of the sword. I now need a new one for 15 bucks :/

I might even have some Asian/Japanese sword and martial arts manuals laying about for you to read.. Just gotta get 'em out of storage and see if I have them still.

| Re: Curses! ......How about he is the joke knight? bash his armor up with a hammer and put pink paint in his helm....then send him into battle with no shoes......and when the time comes to draw his blade....the enemy will die of laughter as it falls apart and stabs erus in the foot.

Blog Entries: 3 | Re: Curses! Short arms and broad shoulders make me more tailored to axe,large hammers, or (due to marching band and horrendously muscled legs) a nice beefy broadsword. Spears and longer weapons usually like longer arms.
