Default Dang I'm sad now

I just bought COD4 yesterday and just beat it today!

I even turned the difficulty up, why, why can't they make games that are at my level!

I know that really does suck! I beat GTA4 in a week, but there are games that take an insane amount of time. I am of course talking about the ES4: Oblivion which I have had since I bought the system and am still playing at over 300 hours on my main character, not because it's hard there's just so much to do.

Begin rant:
Heaven forbid someone actually think poorly of themselves because they can't do something. I hate the people that sugar coat everything and try to put pads everywhere. Great jumpin' catfish, I had on more than one occasion come home with a broken limb when I was a kid and once my brother came home with hole in his shoulder from where he fell on a piece of rebar. But kids now scrape their knee and get rushed to ER.
Kids and some adults need to relise we do not live in candyland where everything is easy and beautiful where people are friendly and kind. When in fact we live a very cruel world filled with people who would probably stab you in the back as look at you. :End rant

That's why we have tabletop games because there is no cheats or making it easier, we all have to assemble, paint, and then play actual people most of which are very smart!

Hmm... CoD 4 was a short game, but the single player was good.

Other games, hmm, they are easy enough... I'm playing through CoH and it's hard enough, as it Medieval Total War.

To be honest, if you think games are to easy, play some friends who are at your level, that's what I do... I play Multiplayer (CS and the WCIII DOTA Mod) get pwned all the time.

Yea, games today are starting to get less and less challenging. But I got high hopes for Fallout 3 (made by the same people who made Oblivion).

I actually don't like mutiplayer as it lacks the story and is wittled(sp?) down to little more than a kill fest, and is filled with people who don't know how to be a good winner let alone a good loser.

Oh here comes another rant:

Well, I try to get addicting games that no one thinks of. For example I got Viva Pinata 2 years ago and had a blast for mounths! (Can't wait til the sequel comes)

thats why i play alot of sports sim games(on hardest difficulty)
the replay value for me is endless
playing madden on all madden level you have to stay on your toes or the computer will eat you alive
most other game you just have to figure out the pattern of the "boss" and your home free

Hmm... if you think so, I game with some serious players and am big on tactics... so playing highly tactical games like DOTA really keeps me on my tows. I understand your desire for story... I love the story of many games.

Have you tried any of the Metroid Prime or Fire Emblem games... those are decently challenging.

Well I tend to like rpgs, shooters, and sandbox games along with the occasional sim. Oh and RTS gotta love the RTS, but of course why play it in a videogame when I can play warhammer!

Funny thing though is yesterday, if beating cod4 wasn't good enough, I finished assassins creed. That was a really good game!

The replayability of Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: the Sith Lords (darn, long name... KOTOR II) cannot be argued... I have played that game TO MANY TIMES.

Some other good RPGs:

Fire Emblem Games (for GBA, GCN, Wii)
The Golden Sun Games (GBA)
I'm going to assume Final Fantasy games, as they are supposed to be ace (don't own a PS, PS2, or PS3, so I wouldn't know)

As for RTS... yes, Starcraft, Warcraft III, Company of Heroes, Dawn of War, all good games. When Starcraft II comes out get that, it'll be a fun RTS game.

Ya KoTOR was crazy long and good, I'm still scratching my head over why I played through both 1 and 2 three times... Medieval Total War is pretty awesome too, the Kingdoms expansions add a lot of gameplay there too. Hail the Teutonic Order!

Team Fortress 2 and Battlefield 2142 are sweet multiplayer games as well.

I tend to compare the noobs in Halo 3 to Chichuahuas. They're small, not very deadly, but will try to intimidate you through noise. Even though they're about the size of my foot.

It also works if you swap out 'bark' with 'f*** you you b****' or 'hacker!' becuase I managed to sword him when he was in a ghost ( I love doing that )

EDIT: imo, FPS > RTS> MMO > RPG > Fighting games > everything else.

Me too I dont play anything thats a Japanese-style RPG, I used to really despise RPG's in general but now that more 'western' companies have started making good ones on a wider subject matter I play quite a few every once in while.
