i think stitch mentioned on another thread that between now and '09, codex:apocalypse, orks, SM, and BA are going to be redone. i'm not sure who else will get a spiffy new codex, but i doubt that the inquisition is in there, unfortunately. dang it, i want my inquisitor! haha

:]

I want Ordo Xenos. >.<... You know Eisenhorn would have to be the Special Char. Inquisitor for it.

Ordo Xenos I don't think will ever be released.. thats just me though.

If anything, it'll be bundled with all three Ordos...

That would be cool. I didn't mean a separate book. just the rules being made.

well, speaking with gav thorpe on saturday it seems more likely that the ordos will each have their own proper book rather than one codex: inquisition...

the reason being that with seperate books they can do proper background, hobby material & adversaries and such.
one book would mean more space devoted to rules and how everything would work with allies and such and thus alot less space for pretty pictures and cool stories!

cheers!

they really want to yes, as there has been great support for the deathwatch right from their initial release may back when. add-on the interest in inquisitors and character like kryptman!
plus, alien hunters would have a definate 'radical' side to it unlike the other inquisition books have had - think inquisitors w/xenos weaponry!

however other things simply keep popping up which continually push the inquisition 'dexes further and further off the perverbial map!

cheers!

Well I won't hold my breath for the new Codex...
I like playing the deathwatch, but having the Ordo Xeno's expanded would be nice...

well, i know it's been mentioned before but just as a re-cap;

back in '04 the design team had started on concept work for codex: alien hunters.
from what my mate on the inside could tell me, the rough drafts and thoughts included the idea of inquisitors w/xeno weaponry and giving radical inquisitors the option of a xenos henchmen among other options! (i might add, the inquisitors would get the real tasty stuff too like an agoniser and/or some nasty poisons and such!)

however as development continued, it was concluded that the alien hunters were still looking just a bit too similar to the other ordo forces only with deathwatch in place of sisters/grey knights... so the project was halted in order to go back and really develop just who the xenos inquisitors and their lackies really were and what they are about.

and of corse, then we had 4th edition hit the shelves and the need to re-write every 'dex aside from codex: imperial guard to fit in with the new rules edition!!!

so well, there's the whole history as to how and why the alien hunters are still waiting in the perverbial shadows!

cheers!
