I was reading about the star child on Lexicanum and wikipedia recently does that leave the door open for the emperors return?

It does indeed.

If the star child theory is still taken to be canon. Which is debatable.

Still, I like to believe it... it'll never happen because of the nature of the background of 40k, but I would love to believe that it would all happen.

Of course, you do realise that if the star child does happen... it'll just be like the Fall of the Eldar, and humanity will have its own Slaanesh. Sure, the other CHaos Gods may die as a result... but I don't think we'll be any better off.

*ceases his insane crackpot theory ramblings*

Oh... all those theories come from debates and info on the black library forums.

ahh ! yellow journalism ! [aka, propaganda]

haha. from what i recall though, the emperor is [was ?] an incredible psyker and warrior, though likely more famous for his psychic powers i think, which are pretty much ridiculous...ly powerful.

anyhow, this star child stuff is intriguing. is the possibility of the emperor's death even thinkable though ? just wondering...

He's already dead my friend. Its just that his soul is still attached to his corpse... or something like that.

Oh... wanna know why Abbadon wants to get to the Golden Throne? Because he knows what will happen when it is disabled...

Of course /\ is just speculation by me... but I like the theory.

Well, there is the Thorians Point of View. that the emp, died Sohrtly after he killed hours, and taht he is going to be RE-encarnated.

That, and my own Personal opinion of the Emp, he was big, had long black hair, a Really glowy power sword, and if i belived what most Propoganda, and small children are keen to say. the sun, did in Fact, shine out his Arse.

So, yesterday I was at my local game shop and myself and this guy Pat started talking about the Emperor. We came to a disagreement about him. He says that the emperor didnt actually have martial prowess and was JUST a psyker. Like he didnt have any superhuman strength or abilities, he was just a normal man, but a very powerful psyker. He then pointed out that if this were true, then any of the primarchs could have easily killed him, which Horus did.
Horus didn't easily kill him, The Emperor fought hard and well. Also when looking for the Primarchs he had to perform great feats. He kicked Leman Russ' ass at one point and that is no easy task.
