| Your Local Ori Prior ![]() ![]() | So, yesterday I was at my local game shop and myself and this guy Pat started talking about the emperor. We came to a disagreement about him. He says that the emperor didnt actually have martial prowess and was JUST a psyker. Like he didnt have any superhuman strength or abilities, he was just a normal man, but a very powerful psyker. He then pointed out that if this were true, then any of the primarchs could have easily killed him, which Horus did. What do you guys think about the emperor?

Blog Entries: 4 | Emperor was mortally wounded by horus because the Emperor, untill almost the last moment, decided to believe Horus had some salvation in him. Upon realising that Horus was irredeemable he was too weak to kill him by hand so fried his body and soul and wiped him utterly from existence instead... ...Is what i remember.

| The Emperor was supposedly both amazingly strong physically, and an uber-powerful pysker. Whether his amazing pyskic power made him that strong I don't know, but he definitely was stronger, faster, and tougher than all the Primarchs (Russ could keep his ale down more though!). Horus only severely hurt him because he was already the greatest of the Primarchs, was backed up by all 4 Chaos gods, and the Emperor wouldn't summon all of his strength to fight him. If the Emperor had fought Horus with no mercy, he wouldn't have stood a chance, even with the Chaos gods (while near-death, he still has the force to wipe him from existance utterly!). Of course, this could just be the Imperial viewpoint, but then most things from 40k are... ![]()

Blog Entries: 4 | I trust lexicanum, but its nowhere near be-all-end-all so that 2 brain cell deal is a no Basically he's like one of the guys inside a dreadnought, except more intact and more holy and HELLA more powerful (that statement may seem wrong, but I don't know how else to describe it)

| the emperor was the ultimate human being, all the the primarchs wher each made from a single atribute of the emperor. hench he was the sum of them all. and yeah i have to say that if he had fought horus from the getgo without trying to get him to revert than horus would have been toast. but i also think that was the plan of the chaos gods. for if the emperor was alowed the time to truly devote himself to cleansing the warp they probubly would have all parished.but they outwitted the errigant fool! errigance is humanitys downfall. hence the only reson the emperor was never alowed to awaken. imo
