Default Forgeworld ruins lives

So... googling around for some info on Tau troops, i ran across this: http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/40kmanta2.htm

:| 30 minutes of my live just went *poof*
so did my reasoning power...

Now i have to find something else to keep me busy because if i don`t get this, and that whole site, out of my head, i`ll do stupid things... really stupid things...

How can people take advantage of ones weaknesses in such a cruel way?!

Cheers! i`m off doeing something as unrelated to warhammer, miniatures (and any other Sci-Fi fluff) as posible.

y would u spend money on models you arent even going to take the time to BUILD!!!
send em to me why dont you....jeez.
that guy with the lip ring is kinda...*cough cough*...erm...yea....
and as for the manta, its a giant model that can carry alot of stuff, with some guns. thats pretty much it. its not that great. shelling out around $1200 for what amounts to 3 thunderhawks. it would make a great centerpeice for a display thing though, but it doesnt look very useful otherwise.
if you were going to get a tau aircraft, i would go for the tiger shark intead of that.

yeah, i have like 30 unbuilt marines from my incomplete marine army, i also have an unbuilt Land Raider i got a xmas about 5 years ago now.
I also have around 40unbuilt IG atm, but they are definatly to be built and used asap - along with the Cities of Death buildings stuff that i have - though i have made two buildings so far and have plenty of extras bits and modeling materials so that i'm not wasting £15 on just one building

sadly, i've still got my valkyrie unassembled and in it's box... i will build it though, rest assured! once i figure out how the damn thing does together!!! (trust forgeworld to *not* include any kind of building instructions )

i've also got some inquisition doors to put onto inquisitor odion's personal land raider...

and about 5 other projects on the go right now too - 2 of them for a friend! (i know, i have no life...)

cheers!

I hope i`ll still be around when small, realatively affordable hologram generators will hit the market

Now there`s gaming for ya! (but i can see them goeing like: this model has a radius of 10"... next year`s one will have a radius of 11" )

Those will be the days

Cheers!

Welcome to the club

Honestly, the only place where I can afford Forge World merchandise is in my dreams. Granted, I have at least $80 of unconstructed models sitting at my worktable. That may not sound like much, but when you're 13 years old and pay for everything out of pocket, $80 is like godsend...

one of our very nutty astronomi-con allumni is seriously contemplating getting a manta and building his army to match what can actually fit in it!O.o
talk about a helluv-an army dispaly base! (mind you, the guy's absolutely nuts about anything and everythin tau!!!)

however, how many of you guys, like me, want that imperial palace set?! (you know, the one where a baneblade can fit through the front doors and space marines look like little tiny black specks! )
as tony cottrel (sp?) stated during the seminar, "this is one for all you wealthy people and also those of you who no longer feel the need for your wife/girlfriend!"

maybe after wednesday night's lottery draws my dreams will come true?! though i honestly hate to think just how much unbuilt stuff i have... it's sad really to think that my bedroom has become more of a 'bitz room'!

cheers!

*Drools* I REALLY want that, but never in a million years could I afford it

I'll stick with Titans and Thunderhawks thank you, just so my debts don't make me kill myself.

to anyone interested: the manta comes with 2 hammerheads, 2 devilfish, 6 battle suits and 24 fire warriors (all included in the price) so you actually get the army with the model

oddly enough all you need to add-in are some drones and you've got most of your 1500pts! maybe a few piranahs as well just for kicks...
mind you, our astro tau nutter is most likely going to make-up any last few pts with some more flyers simply because he already owns them!

cheers!

my ultiment goal is to own a baneblade and paint it up in inquisition colours! (considering they technically *can* get anything they want )
mind you, i believe it's the shadowsword that has the heavy flamer sponsons?! that would definately be more in keeping with the inquisition's prediliction for burning things it doesn't like!

either way, when we finally get astro nottingham set, i'm gettin' me a BRB (Big Red Battletank!)

cheers!

well, odion is a rather sinister member of the ordo hereticus so shadowsword it is then
the other great thing about owning a baneblade/shadowsword - i can run the "sink the baneblade" senario! (it's absolute chaos - trust me!)

as for the greater daemons, i'm awaiting the lord of change coming out next year!

cheers!

yes! considering itll be the most expensive (in points - 999 ) im really hoping they save the best one for last, especially after the kind of dissapointing Great Unclean One!

hehehe! just the thought of a 12" or taller evil 'death chicken'... too bad i cannot do it justice, but it's one of those models to aspire to one day!

a friend of mine is planning to buy a bunch of the new death korps models next year... mind you, i'd rather have the gorgon assault carrier!!!

sooooooo many tasty models! too bad i need to rely on winning the lottery...

cheers!

lol! yeah, the death korps cetainly are the best thing FW has done so far (and thats sdaying something) the ehavy mortars, grenadiers and vehicles are all too nice. and theyre saving the best for last - the death riders themselves

judging by the work in progress shots from warseer way back when, the death riders themselves are without doubt the best models in the entire line!
i wouldn't be surprised if we soon see the death riders become the standard used by most veteran guard players

cheers!
