  |  Good news Bad news.... Well I got good news and bad news !!! Good news is I am going to upgrade my computer!!! Im looking into some right now for the missions ahead! Bad news is I am upgrading because mine is fried!!! I am having one of my buddies look into it now but he says it sounds like my processor is burned. I am having a very hard time opening and running programs and it HICCUPS often....I dont know much but i do know its not right. Also none of my USB ports are working and it seems to growl at me sometimes. Usually right before it shuts off. My processor chip place/box area is now like its ON FIRE and thats why my buddy says its screwed! I do have everyones stuff saved to a disk (did yest ironicly...) and will be up and running soon. I am still around and will be back and fourth in the mean time. Also bad news is my Squad entry cannot be uploaded to night so I wish all of you good luck and I will post my non competitive pics later!!

| Re: Good news Bad news....  don't feel too bad munkey, i recently melted the insides of our family TV! i swear, all i did was turn it on and watch dvd's for 4 hours! why does technology hate stitch so much?!  anyways, hope getting back on your virtual feet isn't quite as pocketbook breaking as our new entertainment system has been! cheers!

| Re: Good news Bad news.... sounds like you processor fan gave up or the cooling fins are plugged up from a build up of dust. Either way, sounds like its a gonner. Good luck on your new computer. Look into Velocity Micro . Pretty good for the price. And Best Buy stocks them.

| Re: Good news Bad news.... This happened to my mom's Dell about 2 weeks ago, the cause of the burnt CPU is probably the same for both systems. The fan on the CPU's heatsink will die and then the CPU can't stay cool...about an hour later is fries itself. So we took it to the range and set it up at 150 yards...good times! Currently building my mom a new computer, tell me if you need any help picking out a new one or something like that, hell I'll build you one if you want me too. Radeon |

| Re: Good news Bad news.... Should get liquid cooling  and buy one of those refridgerator cases. Also have extra fans. Top quality thermal gel. Overclocked comp. Top of the line motherboard, 2 quad core CPU's, 2 quad core GPU's (dunno how they hook those up?) 8 gigs of DDR3 Ram. Dual boot 64 bit vista and 64 bit Ubuntu.
