|  GW idea for land raider Well I always thought the landraider was a pretty uniqe tank designed by games workshop. Well I was searching ww1 and found a tank which looked exacly like a land raider. http://lionels.orpheusweb.co.uk/RFCE...sand/Tank.jpeg what do you think?

| LOL!! well that doesnt really look like a land raider, its more of a leman russ chassis though it doesnt have the turret on top. but land raiders and leman russ's do look similar........ maybe they got the idea for both from this. but it looks more like the russ to me. |

 | Acctully, Your right. The Original Land Raider sucked. So a Dark Angels Player, took a Model of THAT Tank, and Converted it to a Land Raider He then had his Army Showcased, they saw it, Sent pics of his Tank down to Model Production Team, who had a looksie at it, liked it. Came up with a new Land Raider, and a while later, released the Land Raider we have today.

| There is another later version of the same tank (I think it is a MK IV) that is even more like a land raider. It has the same 6 pounder sponsons and twin Lewis Guns on the Bow. All it needed was a front ramp for the Marines to charge out of. In Fact, if you could find one in 1/48 scale it would make a neat base for a Chaos Land Raider Conversion. |
