Blog Entries: 5   |  im a uncle well my sister in law gave birth yesterday so im a uncle for the 3rd time. but heres the thing i beat the crap out of the babies father for hitting my sister in law. now my wife and i are banned from seeing the baby until we apologize to them WTF! i dont think so, im sorry but i feel bad for that child cause his parents are not the best people. and IF i do apologize is so i can be in that childs life so he will have a better role model then his parents.

| Re: im a uncle yes a role model is a great thing for a child but do not forget what he did to that woman she got hit and stood with him she is putting her children in danger still being there im not saying you should apoligise but you have put yourself in a defacto protector position and believe me i know if he is putting his hands on her he is hitting the kids too and THAT is unacceptable so apoligise and observe bide you time and he will mess up again then instead of kicking his head in call the police dont do it for you your wife or your sister in law but do it for the children Ray

Blog Entries: 1 | Re: im a uncle Pride is an annoying thing. For the sake of the child if I were you I would apologise and like someone else said. Watch very carefully. He did put his hands on you and hit your in-law but if you can't be there, you can't protect the child. And if things go bad then you need to be there. So apologise, you don't have to mean it, and keep a close eye on things. Inform the police of what you suspect may be happening and be ready to intervene if things happen again. If it happens again and she still sticks by him perhaps it is out of fear and you should go to the police even if she says dont.

| Re: im a uncle with everything said. It may be one of the hardest things for you to do, but it could also be one of the best thing you could do. Apologizing that is. I know a guy like the one you've described. It'd be nearly impossible for me to say anything resembling an apology to him. Just think of the kid. He could grow up to be just like his father if he has no role model. I think it's best if you give this jerk the most meaningless apology. Don't think of it as your submition to him, but more like you spiting him by removing the opportunity to have his child become like him, or get beat.
