Blog Entries: 5 | Some of you may know him from the RP.. Some of you know him from my fluff (if you've helped/listened)... Some of you don't even know him. But fewer than all these is those who know my true plans. I start gathering and pricing materials on this weekend for a suit of power armor to fit me. A bit of Background... Julius is a man born to a Terran descent rogue trader and a Baal (blood angels homeworld) woman who was a psychic null in the service of an Inquisitor. His father piloted the Inquisitor about, and in return, the Inquisitor ignore some of the more trinket like artifacts that went missing from his missions. Julius himself has close ties to the Blood Angels Chapter, due to his mothers blood. He has done enough with them, their artificers presented him with a archaic inferno pistol from their own forges. (This is being made by a dear friend) His armor is a gift from the Mechanicum for the help in recovering an STC that helped to reveal lost ways of structuring olfactory bionics. It is plain, and simple, as is the man himself, and is rumored to be a relic from the heresy. Certainly, it's markings are of an older pattern. (hopefully I will be making this) The sword he bears (in actual terms, I will be wearing a replica of Sanguinius sword, as close as humanly able to replicate anyway) is of unknown origins, and he guards it jealously, letting few even touch it. So.. You have the basic ideas behind my Inquisitor's persona... Now.. I was thinking maybe MK IV or VI for the armor? I don't want shiny MK VIII, y'know? And MK V's studs woudl be a hassle, as would the banding and plates of MK II/MK III.. So which one out of IV/VI armor MK's woudl you suggest? Also... I need to decide on colors for the armor, any detailing of the pistol, and what else I will be wearing.. Should I do a hood/robe? A furry, Coteaz-esque cape/cloak? Depending on final costs, I may even get some fun theatrical contacts.

I had, at one time, schemactics and material lists to build this out of steel.. But the cost and forge time and such (not to mention weight) made the dream die. With this PDF I have posted.. The dream is well alive again. Ideally, I am trying to incorporate and balance all elements of his culture with the pre-conceptions and 'aura' (if you will) of a Hereticus (slightly radical, faction not yet decided) Inquisitor.

| The Munkey Master ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Nice work on the fluffy!!! Now lets get krakin' on the technical details {cracks knuckles and streches his neck for some work!!!} MK studs are easy with ulpostery nails and banding is thick plastic. I think a fuzzy pelt cloak is in order for this guy in some nice rich color like a nice red or blue more to follow soon................

For now.. Some interesting facial tattoos... As far as armor: MK II armor, banded shoulder pads like my avatar's... With red studs on it, and red trim. Perhaps have a hood on the cloak/cape bit? Also, I will have a prayer bead style aquilla necklace and a rosarius hanging from my neck (perhaps on the beads.. not sure yet). I will also have a rosette to wear as well! Do you guys think I should go bare armor, or maybe more tabarded style liek the avatar?

Blog Entries: 5 | It was just an after thought, and I really doubt I will do it. I coudl always try to make a leather strip tabard styled like the commander one? Right now, here is the armor: MK 2 banded shoulder pads like my avatar (red studs) MK 6 Greaves (no kneecaps) MK VIII or MK III torso (for the raised collar) Long fur trimmed red cloak with a golden =][= (maybe a hood?) Aquilla marked prayer beads Rosarius Aquilla marked ring (maybe...) Purity seal(s) Inferno Pistol Force Sword Inquisitorial Rosette(Black Library make, on it's way) Possible scroll case to hang from hip ala Eisenhorn (have one, just wonder if it will look OK) Black armor color, red detailing/studding Opinions so far?

Storm coat Body Armour Bionic Eye? Digtal weapons Book of the Imperial creed/book of Heretics-leather bound tome-with the names of all those who have done wrong in it (you can even add peoples names to it during the day lol)! |

A carapace armored version is indeed in the works! It just needs a little bit of work. The storm coat/trench coat will be added, and I'll be using motorcycle armor and dirt biking boots (with some add ons) to make the body armor. A bionic eye would be neat, but I have no idea how to do so. Digital weapons again I am not sure how to represent. Books of Imperial Creed/HEresius is planned, I just need to find a suitably big and impressive book.

Blog Entries: 5 | Well.. Set back is the cost of PU foam in the US and dangers of using it (highly toxic in the application stage, by US laws...)... We are xploring other options though, and have several lined up!

Blog Entries: 5 | Right... Due to a very hefty cost with the foam the plans I have suggested, i'm sidelining the power armor. I could still get it done, but the rest of the outfit would suffer... SO here are pics of the following that will be included: Motorcycle armor, or a skiing protection jacket (with some additions, namely thin PC to cover up slits and allow me to paint it, etc..) will form the basis of the carapace armor... Pics can be found here: Skii Jacket: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Moto-armor: ![]() ![]() ![]() At least one, if not TWO 'stubb guns' to be worn on my person.. Perhaps a shoulder rig if I could make one? Parts are already got for this, pics of something like the end resulte here: ![]() A rosette from the Black Library, that is like so: ![]() Dirt bike boots for their armored look (thanks again Spartan!): ![]() They may not be spot on liek this ^, but you get the idea now. Plain, black leather gauntlets.. The exact pair I wear to the renaissance faire: ![]() I wanted him to have a stormcoat and shoulder pads rather liek Eisenhorn does on the front of the omnibus... Or just a stormcoat (all Inquisitors are always described as having one!). Though, I need to find out what exactly a stormcoat IS.... I need your guys advice on the carapace armor soon please, as i'm turning this into the missus for price approval!

| Sucks the power armor has to be scrapped but, if the rest of the ensamble would suffer, it's understandable. As for the 'stubb gun'... pretty wicked looking... especially if a twinned pair. Ahhh hehe, I see that now... The boots look like they'll be awesome in the outfit.. perfect for stomping down heretics... Cool gloves as well. Also... I like the look of the skiing one better. Think it'd be a better base for carapace armor. Last edited by Draka; 02-15-2008 at 10:28 PM. |
