Japanese Game Table

This is probably a completely impertinent piece of information for you all but you might find it amusing. I played a couple of games with my orks at a gw store in the tokyo area. I found it very hard to beat this one tau player in a couple of games. I was very confused as to why my guns were always out of range and why I never got across the board. It turns out that the table was 120cm when it is supposed to be 96 cm wide and in standard measurement that is and extra foot that i had to traverse or in game terms an extra two turns of foot slogging. Crazy Japanese.

The table top hobby scene is still just blooming out here so their scenery is nothing to write home about. The need material to be translated desperately they have a paint guide booklet but not the whole book and no scenery guide. They'll get there eventually but right now its all pretty mediocre.
