Default Magic: The Gathering

Title's say it all folks. Any of you crazy gamers play MtG?
I used to be a devout MtG player but gave up about a yera ago but would love to get back into it.

For those of you who dont know what it is, it is a TCG (trading card game)
that requires you to build an effective strategic deck to defeat foes by reudcing their life points to zero

Its really good fun to be honest, so i'd say dont diss it until you try it
Alot of thinking goes into some deck constructions and, overall its just cool imo lol

So, what say you terrans? anyone play or used too?

haha i gave away/traded most of the cards away...i think the coolest ones i have left are silvos and two-headed dragon from mercadian masques [sp ? but my favorite set]

All i have to say about MTG is...

iQUIT

Seriously, it`s gotten out of hand...

They change t2 EVERY YEAR!

And if that wasn`t enough, the secondary market went through the roof since ravnica :|

I used to be able to sport at least TWO world cup winning decks and a couple of *i know it will never work but i like the art/fluff/mechanic and will play this deck anyway* type of decks

Now i can barely manage to build ONE competitive deck :/

I think i`ll just download Magic Workstation and spend an hour finind all the graphic packs

*cough* Average national wage of 280$ *cough*

Seriously now, i don`t know where we get the money from

The rent is 200$ Prices for almost everything other than direct services (as in, someone doing something for you in particular, like fixing your car and some such) are on average with the ones in the US and EU, actually some are even higher and some way lower (medicins are still just a little above their actual price as the major pharmaceutical mafias didn`t setle in yet, one tried once, it bought a major producer and instaled it`s own prices which where from 200% to 3000% higher, for the same friggin thing).

So yeah, MTG, the game i wish i could play

Actually the major turnback on this game (beyond money, you can always make more money) is time :/ i have to waste an hour just to get to a place i can play and they only gather saturday, past noon.

I can`t handle that. I really can`t.

Basicly for me magic started and ended in highschool

We would play for hours on end, even during easy classes

Actually we managed to play even in the most strict classes as well using a couple notebooks to cover up the cards in case the teachers strolled by

Man, those were the days

i used to play a lot when i was a nipper. then my whyf got interested in ccgs so i introduced her to mtg, we played for a while but every time we did she was convinced i was cheating cos she didn't understand the rules properly and hates loosing, and we has a blazing row. so we don't play it any more

Um, why didn`t you use simple decks

The hardest thing for people to understand are the phases and priority

Other than that it isn`t anything hard, it takes about 1 game for people to get the hang of it.

Just stay away from crazy triggered or activated abilities

That and Protection

I use to be all about it ten years ago, still have all my cards. I use to rock the orc and goblin deck, but you had to know how to play it. Also had a dragon deck. Ah those were good times.
