Default My little projects

I have a couple of projects I'm working on that will make my gaming just a little cooler.

1. I'm making a dice bag out of real rabbit skin. I have the skin but am still trying to figure out how big to make the it. As rabbit skin is not that big to begin with I'm kind of limited by that.

2. Hand made dice. Now I have many ideas for these including making a mold and casting them as well as hand carving them out of wood, stone, or if I can find enough of it bone/horn. As I'm considering starting an Tomb Kings army I thought the bone would be cool.

So waht do yall think?

Well rabbit is just what I happen to have on hand so I'm just using it. It's going to be a drawstring pouch as I also have leather string on hand as well. The material for the dice is easy to get well except the bone, I can make them out of quartzite as we have a lot of it around here. Then use a diamond saw or water saw to cut it into shape and then drimmel the pips.

I will put up pics when I'm done but it may take a while because of the dice and the fact that I don't have a sewing machine so I have to literally make the bag by hand! Not that I can or would put animal skin through a sewing machine, it would get torn up.

I almost forgot to mention my other project. I'm converting an old tackle box into a gaming case. The top I use to carry dice, templates, and measuring devices and the bottom I'll be using to carry my rulebook, codex, as well as other needed material.

The bottom though had slots and I took a drimmel tool (as well as other knives and razors) to it and hollowed it out and next I'll be putting foam in it so that the books don't get scratched.

I'll post pics when it's completed!
