Default Ontario Elections

Yes.
So Stitch and I live in ontario, and I'm not sure who else

but just thought I'd shout to the world that we ontarians have just majority voted for "four more years of ______bag"

A person mirroring my sentiments exactly wrote CBC TV live saying "Ontarians did not vote for the Liberals because they were the best choice. Ontarians voted for the Luberals because they are the LEAST EVIL!"

and worst of all - GREEN PARTY DIDNT EVEN GET A SINGLE SEAT! AGAIN!

Four more years of broken promises, and probably a new scandal or two.
At least public schools are being stood up for...

Hey... don't worry, I'm not that pleased about the Upcoming Presidential elections... yes, I am a Hilary hater.

Sadly though, I can't vote for another 2 years... however, this is probablya good thing, since I have a feeling I am one of the few 15 year olds (nearly sixteen... will be so in less than a month) that are informed enough to actually make a good choice in voting...

Oh, and don't even get me started on Bengali politics.... that is one messed up story.

I've re-opened the thread. However I will be watching it like a hawk.. Keep it to a minimum. But I trust, if we can have a healthy discourse on religion, we can do so on politics. So keep it respectful and on topic guys.

Just wondering... but why do you ask?

Yes, we must be prepared to lock such threads very, very, very fast. But, so far, we have avoided having any problems with sensitive topics (religion) and in fact, these sorta topics are great ways to get to know people.

Yes, there are those silly people who will flame me for disliking Mrs. Clinton... but, so far, those sorta people have avoided this forum, and hopefully, they will continue to do so.

well, as my uncle once pointed out, "it's pretty bad when you don't vote for the guy who will do the best job; you simply vote for the guy who you think will screw you the least!"

but then, toronto is to blame as always... them and their foolish 'center of the universe' complex, as pointed out here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=da82NP2hw8U

cheers!

the problem is that to many people are aloud to vote and then not enough do. people should have to wirte a test to get the wirte to vote. further more people should be rounded up, takin to a polling station and forced to vote

Yeah that's because we are TOO multicultural
Many immigrants feel more allegiance to their home than canada,
thus they either vote for what they have at home (i.e. communist, or something)
Or they don't vote at all, saying they don't care.

Now this is not to put down multiculturalism, but it is true (as far as i know, and i know quite a lot of immigrant families) that immigrant families dont like to vote, unless their restless and involved teenage kids make them (again, from experience)
