Blog Entries: 2    |  PreHeresy Emperor`s Children?! Hey, could you direct me to as much ph EC fluff/pics as posible?  Or maybe simply answear some questions: How were they like? Color scheme? Any particular reason they were called the Emperor`s Children? Thanks!

Hence why the Legion fell so easily. They are prideful to a fatal point. Though the rare and 'quintessential' true marine of their ideals can be found to be a noble, honorable warrior. They value a mix of even, balanced tactics rather than one element over the other. In plain english, a pre-heresy Emperors Children force should be an equal amount of tactical, devastators, assault, and vehicles. If anything, i'd say they'd be a little more veteran sqaud heavy, etc.. Their armor was EXTREMELY gaudy. The lord commmanders are sometimes described has having whole miniature frescoes carved on their armor, and entire works of art written on greaves, etc.. The state of their armor was a point of pride, and was strove to be kept parade ground polished and in tip top shape, that memorable wounds to weapon (a notch in a sword blade or botlerhandle) might be kept as a remind of what laxity can spawn. Their colors were a deep, deep liche purple and bright gold trim. Officers had more ornate armor, and their LEFT shoulder pad was worked into a 3D eagles wing that swept up and usually the point/joint of the feather was to be level with the temple of the marine (I did read this in an old bit of fluff.. no idea where). For the officers, even if one didn't know their rank, you could tell by the ornate details of their armor in some cases, but always by this wing on their shoulder. the more ornate, the high the rank. Some even had some of theirs made in exotic alien metal alloys that shone iridescent and could blind a foe, etc.. (Fulgrim, for example). They were called the Emperors Children for this reason: Quote:
