Are the Tau, Space Marines, and Eldar allies?

I have read in books and heard rumors that all of these races are not trying to kill eachother, is this true, or have I been missled?

Well the space marines are part of the Imperium, so the Imperiums enemies are the space marines enemies. After the Taros campaign stalled, the imperium has not really done mush to the tau. They are definatly not allied.

The eldar are also not allied with the Imperium. Apart from the odd Radical inquisitor, the imperium wants nothing to do with the eldar, and the eldar only interact with the imperium if it is part of their grand plan (re-creating the Eldar empire).

well, the eldar are most definately not in any way wanting to let the space marines and the imperium itself continue to flourish! though the eldar have on a few rare occations fought alonside imperial forces, they have only done so because it suits their needs!
here's a good example of eldar arrogance; "make no mistake human we do not fight for your emperor, we fight against horus."

the tau on the otherhand are very young and have a sence of naivete that really doesn't belong in the 41st mellenium! while they are more than willing to accept the space marines and the entire imperium into their collectist empire, the marines don't see it the same way!
the only reason the tau have been allowed to continue their expansions is because of poor planning, (re; damocles crusade) and the much larger threats that have assailed the imperium! (ie; the tyranic wars, 3rd war for armageddon, 13th black crusade)

i believe all the armies you mentioned are considered the honorable/civilized races. i think for medusa V, the campaign last summer there was a distinction between them, a name or title for the 3 armies but i can't remember. maybe something about the forces of order, or something like that.

anyways, they certainly don't see eye to eye, but they're also more civilized than, say DE and chaos marines.

This will not happen. because..

1. SM are from the Imperium, although maybe not directly controlled and runned by the Inquisition and Administratum, they will still never trust the xenos.

2. Tau are hiding something, or leeching off until they can become stronger in technology.. you know... like china communism haha.

3. Eldar are too... Eldar to join Monkeighs.

13th Black Crusade was the last (not medusa V) international campaign ran by GW for 40k, its also part of the fluff.

Same goes for Armageddon, though, thats older, so its more of fluff now, if you want to know about them, search them on wikipedia.

The Eldar and Tau may team up for a bit, at a push. But Space Marines are far too Xenophobic to go anywhere near that idea.

The black crusades are Abaddon the Despoliers attempt to get out of the Eye of Terror and get a foot hold on Cadia, before moving on to terra. He has tried it 13 times, and still not managed it!

The third war for armageddon is, well the third WAAGGGHHH attempted by an Ork Warlord, but he always get stopped at armageddon.

Some people just dont know when to quit do they!

Actually the third war was the second WHAAAAAGH!. The first war was against chaos.

the 3rd war for arageddon was the 2nd invasion lead by the ork warlord ghazghkull mag uruk thrakka.
the combined forces of the armageddon steel legions, various imperial guard reginments and forces from roughly two dozen or so space marine chapters were able to hold back the tide of greenskins and now armageddon is a world at war!

the 13th black crusade was a multi-system invasion lead by abbadon the despoiler, warmaster of chaos. uniting all the traitor legion and leading a vast host of mutants, traitors and daemons, he succeeded in gaining a foothold on the cadian gate itself.

I'm not necessarily a noob, I been playin DOW since 01 when it came out and been playing the video games. I havent kept up with the fluff or history. Also I am a total noob at the tt game though, only been playin since 06.
