Blog Entries: 1 | I just got done watching a show on the History Channel, Hillbilly: The real story. I'm pissed. I'm pulling no punches. What I'm so angry about is Ky's number 1 cash crop. I'm not talking tobacco. Before anyone talks down about drug dealing in this part of the country, please remember I have close family and friends who have done this. The are not bad people. I do not condone the use of any drugs, but come on, there's worse things out there. Oh, like Oxycotin that was flooded here without thorough testing or even FDA approval. Thanks big medicine and the U.S. goverment. I've lost many friends to this addiction. Again, instead of sending outsiders (I'll explain later) to burn what is sometimes the only way someone has to feed their family, well, how about sending us some industry and jobs? I've been out of work 2 months, and I can't even get a job at Mcdonalds. I mean, there is nothing here. How the hell does the U.S. gov. expect us to survive? By raping our enviroment with strip mines? I can tell you, money from coal does not go back into the local economy. Some "outsiders" take it. Oh, let me explain that word. Yeah, people here are a bit clanish. We have to be. Instead of sending aid to people who want to kill us anyway (can you say Middle East?), how bout helping us a little? I mean, the education here is almost laughable. Most of what I know I learned from books, read on my own time. Sad to say, but I probably knew more than the professors at both the local community colleges. I wished nothing more than to go to Western Kentucky University to study history. Fat chance, I can't get ahead enough to take a trip to play 40k with Erus and Wolfie, who don't live that far away. Granted, I've made mistakes in my life. I've also tried to do right by everyone, to live as best as I know how. Instead of war on drugs, why doesn't that moron revive the war on poverty? At least LBJ tried. I could go on and on, but I've probably gotten into enough trouble. Just wanted to vent some frustration. Oh, and I wear shoes. ![]()

Blog Entries: 1 | Of course I do. I was raised with guns. I recently had a coversation with Hairy about guns. I take for granted that I can grab a gun and go shoot popcans or rabbits or whatever. It seems weird to me that people in the UK are forbidden to own them (well, they have to get an almost unattainable license, according to Hairy). No armed rebellion for me though, I'm a peaceful man, never even been in a fistfight. Most people around here are peaceful.

Blog Entries: 2 | I`m fine with gun control. I may not have a gun to protect me from a thug but neither does the thug. So many people died just because they pulled out a gun. *points at Reservoir Dogs car jacking scene*

Blog Entries: 1 | Hmmm. I disagree. If a criminial wants a gun, he'll get one. We are not guntoting madmen. I was taught to fear and respect firearms from an early age. Guns should be used for hunting and target shooting, self defense as a last resort. If you have a problem with another man, let your fists solve the problem. Any man that pulls a gun on someone else is a comteptable coward, who is too much of a sissy to fight like a man. Guns are ingrained into our culture, and if someone tried to take them, phew! I hated the Brady ban on assault weapons. The Constitution states, "To keep and bear arms." It does not specify what type. You should be able to own a frickin tank, as long as your not hurting anyone.

| *sigh* Before we get into Gun Control... the right of people to own handguns and rifles won't change until the Constitution does... I won't comment on Gun Control... now... poverty... Yes, poverty is sad... but, Dragoon King, you are asking the government to help... why? Ask your locals... there must be someone who has some money and can help the community... I know this may sound radical, but I live in a country were everyone expects the government to help them... they want money, not responsibility... you sound like a smart person (at least your smarter than your local professors...) is there not some way you can help your neighborhood/town/state??? raise awareness.... teach at your college... remind people of their roots... Sitting here on your PC venting doesn't help anything... I have no idea what you can do... and if me writing this will even help you in any way... it may not... but I will promise you, there are hundreds, if not thousands, of ways you can bless the poor and needy, right in your hometown! And... not trying to push any buttons... but I can't think of too many things worse than drugs...

Blog Entries: 2 | Actually BUY AMERICAN isn`t a bad slogan. MAKE IN THE US, that will get you into trouble ![]() Outsourcing is the dumbest thing for a country. It`s great for the company and very, very bad for the country :P So unless the North American Union and Asian Union form within the next 20 years and all 3 join withing the next 50 years, the US will be quite a nasty place to live in unless you go corporate ![]()

Oh... and as for voting... getting invovled in LOCAL politics is a great way to help... sure... those guys in washington seem important, and are important... (one of the reasons america is so hated is because of... Bush...) but your local government is right next door! I will refrain from commenting on buy american... this topic is probably borderline as it is... and, as a kind nudge, let's avoid it as much as possible... Another thing, one of the problems with things like, the war on drugs, the war on poverty, etc... is that the government doesn't look at the ROOT problem... which isn't poverty or drugs, or whatever... its something else... whether a broken family, a lake of educational opertunities, or whatever these are the problems... giving someone money because they are "poor" is not always the answer... it can help, some people will use that money for good, other will just go off and get drunk for the evening. (There are plenty of those where I live, sadly). In order to help someone you have to be willing to put emontional energy into that person. Invite them to dinner, talk about their family... then help them.

Blog Entries: 7 | the government is gonna have to pry my gun from my dead hands! cause theres no way im giving that up. ive read somewhere that the reason we have the right to bear arms is for is some day the public needs to stand up to the government they have the right to arm themselves. as for drugs, where im from in hawaii is one of the bigest places on the island where crystalmeth is made. ive got family who sold it and family who does it! ive seen how it can rip people and familes apart!

A rellik/burnwitme... the actual history behind the 3rd amdendment is a bit of something... its really archaic, and the ideas behind it (a well trained militia... like the minutemen of Lexington fame) are no longer needed. Nonetheless... it exists... Me... I don't own a gun... but I may... I've from texas after all! ![]()

| i dont see how you can say the right to bear arms is no longer needed are you sure you are from Texas? there are more guns owned per texan that any other state as an american i dont want the governments help i dont need the governments help I cant stand that they think it is their job to keep me safe They took an outh to Protect and defend the Constitution of the United States I repeat The Constitution but while they are trying to please their corparate buddies and stock holders they trample on the rights of americans and the ability for regular americans to provide for their family if they were protecting the Constitution the people would flourish and prosper but its all about $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ |
