Default Slaanesh Sisters of Battle

Any ideas how to make it happen?

Not suggesting you take a detachment of Adepta Sororitas, more along the lines of, an army of women dedicated to Slaanesh pirated a bunch of Adepta Sororitas stuff and are extremely dedicated and well trained devotees to the the Lord/Lady of Lust, the Prince(ss) of Pleasure, and whatever you want to call Slaanesh.

Emperor's Children rules?

Or Witchhunters rules?

Obviously, either way there'd be a lot of conversions involved.

This thought has crossed my mind so many times it's incomprehensible.

There are a few options.

One would be to use the Emperor's Children rules. This would enable to use Daemons and the like. However, most people would be very displeased if you used Sisters of battle models to represent Space marines.

Another would be to use the Witch Hunters rules and do a pure Sisters of Battle army with maybe an Inquisitor for a lord. You could use Sisters Repentia for your Daemonettes. However, you wouldn't gain the same benefits from the Mark of Slaanesh. It would be interesting to do an army like this, though.

My last idea was to use the Lost and the Damned list and make an all-female cult dedicated to Slaanesh. Your Aspiring Champion for HQ could be represented by a Canoness, and you could use any female models (perhaps Dark Elves?) as your troops choices. This would also let you use Daemonettes while keeping in the theme. However, it's not sisters of battle, so to speak, so, with opponents permission, you could use a squad of Adepta Sororitas as some corrupted Slaaneshi Noise marines. This is probably the idea that appeals to me the most since I can't imagine more than a squad or two to go to Slaanesh.

Hmm. The lost and the damned idea sounds alright, but a few things come to mind.

First of all, these are Slaanesh Sisters. Couldn't Chaos just modify everyone's strength and toughness to match a space marine?

Secondly, I think the answer to my question lies within the pages of the newest expansion of Warhammer 40,000.... Apocalypse. In Apocalypse, you may (to my understanding) field any army in conjunction with any other army of your choice, or even more than one army. I may be wrong about that. So please, if someone has the book, correct me, as my brother's copy is 2.5 hours away from here...

Going along the Apocalypse concept, you have the possibility of fielding Sisters of Battle, alongside Chaos forces, and using the "Counts as" rule on the sisters themselves. You can tell your opponent, the SoBs "count as" chaos space marines. Even add some chaotic icons to their armor, and use a dremmel to buff off the imperial markings.

However, if anyone wants to provide further input on the subject, I'd be more than obliged to get another opinion.

Slaaneshi SoB would be SoB with Daemonettes and such :P
And some slaaneshi & daemonic wargear.

And model-conversion-wise: I suggest not going there.

LOL!

EDIT: REMOVE FAITHPOINTS AND ALL THE FAITH-Y SPECIAL RULES!!

I posted a simular thread a while ago here: http://40kterra.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4061

The best suggestions I got and most ppl seemed agreed with, was to use the current Witchhunters dex and rename their AoF abilities to sound more slaaneshy. That or to wait for the new Forces of Chaos dex, whenever that comes out =P

Im with ya on using the current chaos rules and using the fact that the sisters are so possesed/influenced with chaos that it would explain their increased SM like stats. But alot of people seem to have a serious hang up about that. Shouldnt matter if you plan to convert most of your models anyway I think.

Alot of people are put off about converting metal minis, but its really not that bad.. All ya need is a bit of imagination.

I think in this case all you would really have to do is some head swaps maybe or put some hoods on em out of GS. Maybe use some GS to smooth out the shoulder pads and cover up the SoB emblems and what not. Paint on some slaaneshy symbols and what not on their robes, and I think you'll have yourself some fine looking Traitor/Slaaneshy sisters.

Remember sometimes the best mods are the simplest.

Hmm.. I suppose you could.

However faith points seemse excessive considering the fact that other chaos armies don't really have the same system.

well if hes gonna be using WH rules, he will be at a serious disadvantage with out AoF.. and its not like he'd be benefiting from Slaaneshy abilities, so it seems to make the best sense

I think what I may do is, play using SOB rules. Daemonettes can be fielded as arco-flagellants using the "Counts-as" rule.

When the new Daemon/Chaos codex comes out. Not the CSM codex, the one for other traitor armies, I think I'll see if I can apply that to SoBs. If so, then I don't need to use Emperor's Children list with SoB minis. I can just use defiled SoBs (dremels work wonders on pewter) maybe green stuff them up a bit (make the shoulders spiky, add small horns to their heads), and switch out a few bolters for noise marine weapons.

Or at least. That's if I can with the new codex.

@insomniac: point taken. Just didn't feel right in the fluff-crunch hybrid sense.

Course, I'm a diehard Imperialist, so I may be just being a bit jealous ;P

Hey, you want a fluff explanation? Faith and devotion to Slaanesh. Who says the Imperial all-woman army of devotion is the only one? Suppose they have yet to gain demonic gifts and are faithful to Slaanesh. Just change the names and descriptions of how they work, but keep the same in-game rules.

Well I have been thinking about the same thing for years. Ever since I read that graphic comic book about Ephrael Stern called Daemonifuge, its out of print, but I can send ya some pics from mine if your interested. Ive wanted to do the screaming cage since i read it. i suggest with the new plastics coming out, use the SoB bodies + new plastic Daemonette heads. Add green stuff spiked shoulder pads, remove the imperial icons and there ya go. I dont have time to complete a project of that magnitude anymore, but if ya do it let me know, would love to see it. Just read the graphic comic book I had mentioned, you'll know what Im talking about as soon as you see it.

From a fluff standpoint Sisters are great candidates for Slaanesh followers.

murderous zeal can easily turn into sadistic complections :P

and blind devotion could lead to perfectionism any day

As for rules i dunno.... maybe you should use the WH rules, but if you can figure away to fit in noise sisters you`ll get a cookie

I'd say use the Witch Hunters Codex, give them +1 INI and access to Sonic Weapons, via the Chaos Codex. In addition, they can take 0-1 units of Daemonettes, and 0-1 of Seekers of Slaanesh. Also, vehicles have access to Sonic Weaponry.
